Found this hidden gem just down the street from my house. It used to be an old bar. So you'll miss it if you don't look for it. A server was so nice to ask for a sample cup of their salmon soup and it was delicious! I ordered the shrimp taco with cheese and added chipotle creamy sauce. Amazing. Also had mar y Tierra taco (surf n turf) Steak and shrimp taco with chipotle sauce as well and it was flavorful. For my entrée I had the ranchero shrimp with rice and beans. Husband had the garlic shrimp plate with rice and beans, the shrimp was cooked perfectly with garlic and placed over garlic fries. Amazing. My daughter had the quesadillas with beans and avocado. Everything reminded me of my childhood dinners at home. Mariscos estilo casero. 10/10 will be back again.

It would seem in Southern California it would be easy to find a good fish taco. However that's not often the case but Lumbre Mexican seafood has one of the best I've ever had , even as good or almost as good as my brother-in-law who makes them from scratch! I really recommend people go to this place in Imperial Beach. Besides exceptional tacos, they have an excellent salmon soup.

I stumbled across this restaurant in search for some mexican seafood and was very impressed. The food here was not only Incredible, but also accompanied by great service. I highly recommend the salmon soup (caldo de salmon) and tacos governador.

When eating out quality of food it's a must but when that food comes with a great customer service it's excellent. And this place has it both, great food and great customer service, I will definitely will keep coming, specially for the salmon soup, this is the only place that can make it right.They need a bigger sign so people can notice this restaurant more easier
