Wasn’t greeted walking, seated ourselves, wait staff kept walking past the table and didn’t say anything, smelled like someone tried to clean up the smell of Raid and piss, had to pick up my own menu to see what they have, waited 20 minutes before someone asked if we wanted to order.

Cooks was arguing and no health code verification was posted anywhere.

Food looked good on pictures and menu, but again it smelled more like Raid and piss than food.

I am visiting IB for a week and saw this place pop up on Google Maps. From the pictures posted, I knew I had to try it. It did not disappoint! I called and placed an order to go of shrimp & grits. OMG...every bite is so delicious! The portion was huge, I think I'm going to get 3 meals out of 1 order. It was equally as good leftover for lunch! You can tell it's authentic and made with love! And the women working were so kind hearted and sent me off with a blessing! It was like visiting the South, but in South San Diego Co! I got there right before it closed and there was no music, so I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere because it very quiet. But such a hidden gem for sure! I'm going back for the beignets!

This is a hidden gem in Imperial Beach! This is a throwback to those southern eateries that my grandparents would eat at. The atmosphere is nice and quaint, with good soulful music. I caught them as they were opening up and they treated me as if I was family or a long time friend. I ordered the Shrimp Po'boy and the Maryland Style Seafood Boil and I was not disappointed! If you love Creole food this is your place! N&N CREOLE SOUL KITCHEN!

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced I waited over an hour and 20 minutes for an order they were slow the food is terrible and the employees are so rude DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS LOCATION it is not worth it the guy couldn’t even serve me a drink he said ‘we’re out of drinks’ and shrugged

First off, we went late so it wasn’t busy and everyone was nice. Told the waitress that my son especially doesn’t want spicy food. We were recommend several dishes and he chose one. Pineapple lemonade tasted fizzy like when pineapple starts to ferment. Overall the effect was weird. We had po-boys (traditionally not particularly spicy). Portion size was generous. Catfish was a bit greasy and salty but pretty decent. Tasted what was referred to remoulade, not only was it not remoulade but its chief seasoning must have been a ton of cayenne pepper. Spicy is an understatement. It was so spicy that neither my husband nor I could eat the bread as it already had their remoulade spread on it. My son’s (non-spicy) meal was just as spicy and the red beans tasted of nothing but salt. He couldn’t eat any of it. My husband is from NOLA and said he has never had a meal as unnecessarily spicy. If you love food that burns then give it a go but if not, skip it. They took one meal off the bill but we won’t be going back.

First time eating at N&N Creole Soul Kitchen and Beignet Bar, and I highly recommend! 🤩 Small Mom & Pop restaurant in Imperial Beach, portion servings were huge, and prices were reasonable! The customer service was amazing & the food was amazing! Chef Nakia & Chef Antuan were so kind to come out and meet us! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ And the beignets, OMG!! I'll be back soon!! ❤️

Was craving something different. End up finding this place on google. Little hole in the wall restaurant that has good big fried catfish and solid Mac and cheese too. I would definitely be coming back and hopefully they can get a bigger sign for them to get more business. Overall solid, catfish was spicy a little but also fried really well. Mac and cheese was very creamy and wasn’t burnt like other restaurants. The 2 lady’s in front are very nice and were happy that I came in for dinner

I feel bad for giving an honest review but I was extremely unhappy with food and service. The Gumbo don't taste anything like what I'm used to in the south it tasted like a whole salt container got dumped in the pot. The cat fish was really gross too. They don't slice it thin enough . By this time I already knew the Peach beignets I was waiting on are not going to be any good. It tasted like something that was made in Home Ec Middle school, overfried with lots of grease and no flavor. In theory the Peach Cobbler Beignets sound good but you can't just mix the two together and expect it to work without some love. Everyone was friendly but the food took too long and when I was served my food there was no fork to eat with.
