All I have to say is WOW. The portion sizes were absolutely huge and every bit was incredible. I didn't stop eating until my body forced me to and I think I have a whole second meal waiting for me in leftovers.
Love this place
We're on a girls trying to find a soul food restaurant, and today we found the best I mean the best it's fried catfish, the fried shrimp. If you ever in San Diego please try!!!!
Food is really good. Worth the $.
Only issue is the long wait time. Once I placed my order over the phone I was told it'll be ready in 35 minutes. Once I arrived 40 minutes later. I was told it would be another 10 minutes. That ten minutes turned into an additional 30 plus minutes.
N&N Creole Soul Food is located in Imperial Beach, CA. This chef is known on social media for her large portions at a reasonable prices. We went for stuffed turkey legs, but they didn’t have them. We’re told they’re too hard to find. I got the Soul Bowl with fried shrimp, which came with black-eyed peas, collards, and rice. I ordered a side of sweet potatoes, but I forgot to take a picture of them. Wavey Crockett had the Voodoo Bowl with seafood jambalaya (shrimp, crab, or crawfish), succotash, and voodoo sauce topped with blackened chicken. We also got regular beignets. Everything is made to order, so it will take a minute. This place lives up to the portions shown on social media. My Soul Bowl had 1 lb of delicious cornmeal-fried shrimp. With two sides for only $24, that's a steal compared to home. The shrimp was the star of the bowl. The collards were too vinegary, and the black-eyed peas were to my liking. My side order of sweet potatoes were good. Nice cut potatoes with a sweet buttery taste. The Voodoo Bowl had a lot going on for only $27, and the crab and shrimp were the stars of it. With all the good food, we were unfortunately disappointed with the beignets. They were hard and dry. I'll give this place an 9 out of 10. It's definitely worth a try or two.
I spent 75.00 at this restaurant in through the food away the service was bad I did not feel welcome and I felt like I was being targeted and I never even met these people a day in my life the food here looks good but do not have any flavor this is a hole in the wall scam that probably gets food from food stamps scams. And then replied to my review like it was all some big misunderstanding like i was not there 🤷🤷🤷
This establishment is a must visit. The food is absolutely amazing... I would definitely recommend their food.
I don't understand this place I've been there twice and still haven't eaten anything both times still in the entrance it's more like a hangout for people of the family than it is an actual restaurant for people to come in to and eat they don't reach you they don't ask you anything they just let you stand there looking stupid.... I will never go there again getting disrespected twice is enough.
The food was delicious. Go for the food.

Wasn’t greeted walking, seated ourselves, wait staff kept walking past the table and didn’t say anything, smelled like someone tried to clean up the smell of Raid and piss, had to pick up my own menu to see what they have, waited 20 minutes before someone asked if we wanted to order.
Cooks was arguing and no health code verification was posted anywhere.
Food looked good on pictures and menu, but again it smelled more like Raid and piss than food.

I am visiting IB for a week and saw this place pop up on Google Maps. From the pictures posted, I knew I had to try it. It did not disappoint! I called and placed an order to go of shrimp & grits. OMG...every bite is so delicious! The portion was huge, I think I'm going to get 3 meals out of 1 order. It was equally as good leftover for lunch! You can tell it's authentic and made with love! And the women working were so kind hearted and sent me off with a blessing! It was like visiting the South, but in South San Diego Co! I got there right before it closed and there was no music, so I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere because it very quiet. But such a hidden gem for sure! I'm going back for the beignets!

This is a hidden gem in Imperial Beach! This is a throwback to those southern eateries that my grandparents would eat at. The atmosphere is nice and quaint, with good soulful music. I caught them as they were opening up and they treated me as if I was family or a long time friend. I ordered the Shrimp Po'boy and the Maryland Style Seafood Boil and I was not disappointed! If you love Creole food this is your place! N&N CREOLE SOUL KITCHEN!
