The taco deals this have here are really good and the food is even better. This place is a 10/10 definitely recommend. The food is made to order and fresh delicious salsa. They also have other locations and they are same quality in food and service.

The food here is excellent! The staff are super friendly and nice. The air conditioning is a great break from the heat as well. The servings are huge on the plates. You can also call in and pick up your order to go.

Visited two weeks ago and visited again today before making this review. Last week I asked for tacos and beer and they claimed they’re all out of all beers. Today, my husband and I visited their location at around 1:00PM. Turns out they lost their beer license. Main complaint is they had so many dirty tables with salsa bottles that had so many flies in their establishment, dirty tables with salsa bottles (where flies would land) and it was just overall gross. Not once during our visit did any employee try to walk around dining tables and clean it off. As I left I mentioned to the cashiers(2) that the amount of flies in the restaurant were disrupting our meal and they didn’t seem to care. Last time they’d get our business, unfortunately.
Having moved from Mexicali, where the best tacos are, it was hard to find a place here in San Diego that came close but out of all the places I've tried (and I've tried most of them) this has to be my favorite. The carne asada tacos here are top quality and taste similar to the ones I grew up with. Not to mention the Taco Tuesday deal they always have, the workers are super nice and the ambient is pristine. This is definitely my favorite taco shop and I'm surprised a lot of people don't know about it.

So today I walked in to order my enchiladas. I always order my beef enchiladas with one red and one green. And with attitude the counter girl told me that they don't make it like that it either has to be all red or all green. Am a frequent customer and I know you can make that order per request. So today was a sad day for El trompo!!! The service of customers is the most important in this world. So I was very unhappy. FYI!!!
