Grapefruit Basil

This was not our first experience at Grapefruit basil. The food has always been excellent and the kitchen really makes the experience exceptional. Nevertheless, the efforts of the wait staff does not match the quality of the food. Tables around us waited an unacceptably long time long time to be served. We were fortunate that our food was presented promptly after ordering. Our waiter disappeared and a colleague helped us with a dessert order. After finishing this last course we were ignored. We watched our waiter engage in a ten minute conversation with a couple at another table. Back turned to us, never checking in for the duration. I ultimately walked up to the waiter and said" I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation but we are ready to leave". The outdoor dining experience and the food quality is outstanding- the service not so much.

We read a lot of the reviews and were prepared for a less than ideal experience. Boy were we surprised. The wait team was remarkably good and personable. Sitting outside under the lit olive trees was amazing and the food was excellent not to mention the portion sizes. We ended up each talking 1/2 of our dinners home..(a cioppino so much better than most! Tons of seafood with a nice tomato base but not soupy like many restaurants provide. And a tender and flavor filled short rib entree big enough for two.) We'll be back. Yes it's a little pricey but considering we ended up with ultimately 4 meals it offers a great price per value and wonderful experience. To the wait team at Grapefruit Basil thank you for helping to make our anniversary a great night out!

Love the outdoor patio setting. Love that we could bring our dog. Loved the overall vibe and food!

Between the Cippino and Josie's service, we had the best experience. I would stay at the resort just for the meals!

Halibut was just ok for price of 44. nothing served with it. Burger was ok not impressed. Got eaten up by mosquitos or some bug when dining outside

Cocktails were tasty and creative and the halibut and short ribs were excellent and of good portions. The crab cake should have been cooked a bit more but it didn't matter because it was tasty so we devoured it anyway! By the time we got to our butterscotch budino we couldn't finish it no matter how much we wanted to. It could easily satisfy a table of four who each want five or so spoonfuls, which really should be enough since it is so rich.

Recently visited this restaurant for lunch. $18 for a glass of house chardonnay. Really?????? Wont be returning

The food was delicious. Back of the house is putting out delicious food in a very pretty setting. We will go back for sure.

I was really excited to see plant based options here. They were able to customize a lovely lemon broth with butternut squash and veges to have no cheese since I'm allergic. It was delicious! The signature cocktail, grapefruit basil martini was unique and top notch. I had the homemade focaccia bread too that was amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant.

I truly enjoyed my dining experience at Grapefruit Basil. I was with friends, and we sat outside in the beautiful, peaceful ambiance. The soft music was special, and we enjoyed, but we were still able to have conversation! The food was exceptionally delicious and beautifully presented. Not to mention, the dessert was lemony tasty and not too sweet. I highly recommend Grapefruit Basil for your next dining experience.

What a beautiful setting for brunch! We sat on the patio and had the most fantastic service and the foods and drinks were stellar. The grapefruit is a definite order!

The food at Grapefruit Basil was fantastic! We started with lobster chowder. It was spicy, but had large pieces of lobster claw meat in it. We then had delicious grilled asparagus and Scallop Carbonara, which was full of flavor. I enjoyed every bite! The service was excellent. I will definitely dine there again in the future.

Visiting from Toronto. This was a first visit to Grapefruit Basil. Great food & presentations. Halibut is outstanding. Desserts are top notch. Totally enjoyed the visit. Very friendly & accommodating service.

First time having dinner at grapefruit. The spaghetti squash with grilled chicken was very tasty. I also enjoyed the Keylime pie.

Our waiter was wonderful, always on top of everything and attentive. Chicken and Steak Tacos (from the Bar menu) were a 10.
