It was all OK... The tri trip and pulled pork was pretty moist. Portions were good and the value of my meal excellent.
The Mac & Cheese didn't dry out and the corn (IMHO) was very very good...couldn't eat the bread which seemed like a basic, grilled hot dog bun.
The worse part are the water cups, so tiny... I had to make 4 trips to the cooler to refill. Hated that part.

My goto for ribs! I order “to go” whenever they have them along with the excellent baked beans and potato salad. I also love the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese Sandwich and the Tri Tip Chili. Excellent customer service!!! I love the staff. Always cordial and accommodating, which I appreciate very much!

I've been going to CV BBQ for a couple years now, at least since I found out about it finally and I think they deserve an extra positive review. From day 1, every visit has been special. Not only is their food absolutely amazing, but every individual that I've worked with is absolutely terrific with a genuine quality. When I'm there, I don't just feel valued, I feel like I am amongst great friends, which is a rare case in all my experiences with going out to eat. I've almost tried everything on the menu so far, just a few things left to try. My absolute favorite so far is the Tri-Tip (meat plate or sandwich), their tots, and of course, their deviled egg potato salad which I highly recommend. If you're looking for a top notch BBQ joint in the Coachella Valley for lunch or even a late breakfast (yes, they have breakfast items), look no further! ✌️
CV BBQ catered a Celebration of Life we had to honor our mom's passing. They were professional and exceeded all expectations we had. Yvette responded right away and stayed in communication through out the whole process and we were able to set everything in motion with no glitches. Sean and his catering team did a superior job and set up a beatuful display and all were so kind. All of our guests loved the food. The Tri Tip was so tender, the ribs, the chicken all very good. The Deviled Egg Potato salad was great. Only thing we regretted was not ordering more of their sausage that went right away because everyone really enjoyed it.

Ordered the 2-meat plate for lunch today (9/11/2025). Got the Pulled Pork and the Tri-Tip as the meats. Deviled Egg Salad and Cole Slaw as sides. Order came with two pieces of toast. See photo below.
Meats lacked any smoke notes and both were severely under seasoned, same for the sides.
The pulled pork was moist, but again lacked any BBQ/smoke flavor. I suspect they “plate” it with a hit of stock after heating. Again it lacked any seasoning.
The Tri-tip was also moist with a few bits tasting peppery. It was also tender, but that was it. No crust, barely any grill/char marks. Cook on it looked perfect, but again no taste-umami.
The sides were more of the same, no seasoning. The Deviled Egg Salad barely had any egg in it, mostly mashed potatoes. The Cole slaw was fresh, but the dressing lacked any vinegar or mustard notes. Again both lacked seasoning.
Location was clean and the service was friendly and efficient. Plus 2 stars.
$20.55 with a canned soda provided ok value, just not tasty. I guess you just pour on the BBQ sauce for flavor.
