I recently visited Heirloom Craft Kitchen and left with mixed feelings. The food itself was good – well-seasoned, thoughtfully prepared, and presented nicely. Each bite was flavorful, and it's clear the kitchen takes pride in what they serve.
That said, the portion sizes were disappointingly small. For the price point, I expected a more satisfying meal. I left still hungry, which is not ideal after spending that much. I ordered two shrimp tacos and my partner ordered the lobster roll. Total was $57. While I appreciate quality over quantity, this felt like neither was balanced properly.
Overall, while the taste was on point but nothing out of the ordinary, I can’t justify the cost for what little you get. Good for a one-time experience, but not somewhere I’d return unless the value improves.

Fantastic flavors, warm vibes, unforgettable night.
You order at the counter then retrive your order when ready. Food was overcooked and unplesant in flavor. Wine is in a can.
There is no reason we would want to return.

Awesome service, Amazing food,
Good Vegan options, and offer REAL food as well! We’ll be back!!
Excellent food! Watermelon salad: perfect summertime treat!!
The food is very basic, highly overpriced. The owner is rude and is very stingy. You are paying fine dining prices, but are being served on paper plates. However, it’s important to note that the employees have great customer service and are always smiling. I will never be returning to this restaurant mainly because of the owner and because there are better food options that are reasonably priced.
Disappointed by Owner – Will Not Return
I really hate to leave a bad review, especially because the staff at Heirlom have always been so kind and pleasant. I’ve supported this restaurant many times and genuinely appreciate the people who work there. However, my recent experience with the owner was so unpleasant that I feel compelled to speak up.
I placed an Uber Eats order and included a polite note requesting ketchup and Cholula sauce. To my surprise, I received only one packet of ketchup and one packet of Cholula. When I called to follow up, the owner informed me that her staff is “instructed” to only include one of everything unless a specific quantity is stated. I explained that I wasn’t aware of this policy—how would a customer know they need to specify “3 packets” in the app?
Rather than listening or showing any empathy, the owner became rude and defensive from the very beginning of the call. I remained calm and simply tried to explain the situation, but she interrupted me and abruptly said, “I’m not doing this with you,” and hung up. It was shocking and honestly very disrespectful.
To make matters worse, I paid $50 for a burrito because the owner required me to add an $8 item in order to include vegan eggs in my vegan breakfast burrito—a substitution I’ve made before just by leaving a note, with no issue. She even said she’d “get on her staff” for doing this in the past, which made me feel worse, because again, the staff is lovely and doesn’t deserve blame for something so minor.
The food at Heirlom is honestly not worth the price—it’s just okay, and definitely overpriced. I only continued to support it because of the great staff and its proximity to my favorite coffee shop next door. But after this experience with the owner, I won’t be returning. It’s clear that customers or customer service is not a priority for the owner, and that’s not something I can support.
good food terrible owner. was told “we have a no volume rule” when i had my volume a little high to hear over there overly loud music. mind you now one is there est. good food cannot overcome bad customer service. i support small business and being being treated like ima 20 year old going to cochella is not going to win you fans. if you have a rule approach it better. ex . sorry sir, can i have you turn your phone off, we have a no noise rule. Do yourself a favor and head next door to vintage coffee where the vibe is great for cochella fabs and old men like me just passing through town.

While the food may look good it does not taste the best. It's pretty blan and needs seasoning. The prices are high, my friend got a seltzer with her meal which was $10 and it was flat. The staff seems nice and friendly and the atmosphere is great.
