I am pleasantly surprised. We are traveling across country and saw this small mom and pop restaurants. We gave it a try. I had menudo. The best menudo I have had since I was a young girl in my early 20s. The place has all my childhood favorites my grandmother in Mexico used to make for me when I want to visit her on my summer vacations. There where families celebrating. Very casual. If I am ever in town I will definitely come back.

I am new to the area and come into Indio to pick up my brother near this mexican food place. We stopped in for some food and it wasn't the best mexican food we have had. The food portions were large but the food was too greasy... will be trying the place next door if I ever come back

Come here often, you have to try the quesabirrias, yummy the shrimp cocktail and delicious fajitas, clean bathroom hot and yummy food!
Cute little Mexican restaurant... food was good! I had the shrimp in Chipotle sauce... man, was that tasty! My mom had the fried fish, and that was great too! Not dry at all!

The food here is delicious authentic, really good seafood dishes , the best Mexican food around! Erik was our server he was great , attentive, awesome personality ? definitely recommend huertas restaurant.
