Excellent service at the new location. Outdoor patio and updated modern decor. Nice looking Banquet Room plus room for a band. The service was fast and efficient. The food was good ( alacarte street tacos). My husband had Carnitas meal. His meal was tasty and large quantity of carnitas. Various sizes of margaritas. Make sure to request your favorite tequila. Sorry no photos. The Margarita & my hubby distracted me. LoL

Service was good. I had eggs, beans and papas rancheras and bacon. The food was very good. I did not care for the Tortillas though, they are not homemade, seems like straight from the package and probably warmed in the microwave. Coffee was good. Restaurant is clean and inviting. We are from Texas so Mexican food is a little different here from our TexMex food, but I would eat here again. We stayed at the motel next door, Royal Plaza and came here to eat because they gave us a 15% off coupon. They serve lunch and dinner and offer mixed drinks, beer and wine if thats what you like, and desserts. They have a stage so I'm sure they have music as well.

Ground beef had zero flavor on large flat tostada, had no cheese either ?. The shredded beef on my wife's Tacos also no seasoning or flavor. Very disappointing the old Marcarios was family favorite for last decades. New place nice but way too

Definitely won't be returning here. Came with my family of 6 and we left after the appetizer. Got seated super quick, as there was not many people there. A few things on their menu they did not have such as agua fescas. We ordered guacamole to go along with our chips and salsa right after being seated and after 45 minutes a party of 20 came in and within 5 minutes they were served 3 large guacamoles and we were still waiting for ours. After this we decided to go. PS if you decide to get the Chile gueritos (they are HOT!) We are normally a big fan of this appetizer, and can handle a little spice, but these were overly hot and overly priced. As we left we split the bill in 2 and after paying the initial price on the receipt $72, a man gave the host another receipt and the host stated that there was a remaining balance of $16. After asking why one receipt said $72 and the other said $88 the host said she didn't know and called another man. The man then stated that the initial receipt didn't have the beverages. Not sure what was going on there or why we weren't given that receipt in the 1st place but we paid and left and won't be returning

Ordered Albondigas soup... $17 I guess someone has to pay for new beautiful location from indio blvd to hwy-111! I wouldn't have minded the high prices if my soup was cooked properly. The flavor of broth & Meatballs was very good, however, the vegetables were raw as if placed in bowl last minute. I returned to receive same bowl of scalding microwaved soup. All in all waited over 30min before I could eat my soup placing raw carrots on side, my rice & tortillas were stone cold by the time 2nd round of soup arrived. I told waitress which her response was oh sorry about that, then the bartender who served me. Upon leaving I asked for manager... there was none on site. If you are in restaurant biz there should be a manager at all times. Very disappointed seemed staff especially bartender were overwhelmed.

We arrived about 730AM on a Wednesday and we were the only customers. That can sometimes be a blessing or a curse. It turned out to be a blessing. The service was excellent and the hostess/waitress was super friendly. I ordered the huevos rancheros and the wife the machaca con huevos. Both dishes were quite tasty. Coffee was also very good. Restrooms squeaky clean and at that time of the morning there was plenty of parking. Definitely going back. Since it was Valentines Day, the wife got a complimentary rose. Nice touch.

Very bad experience. Very bad manager. The races were very friendly and the food was good, but the manager's attention was so negative that it spoiled the event.

This restaurant is like going to your favorite Tia’s house for dinner and she always makes your favorite food. I love this place with all my heart. The Camarones Enchiladas, The Steak and Shrimp Molcajete, and Camarones Macario’s are a few of my favorites. Don’t get me started on the size of their Margaritas. Amazing service and Live Daily music that starts around 4:30-5pm. Bring a date or your Favorite Tia.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Fajitas and Salad optionsParking: Parking is available in front of the restaurant and behind which is combined parking for Royal Plaza Inn guests.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with crayonsWheelchair accessibility: There is ADA height bar seating on the left side of the bar. Plenty of table seating throughout the restaurant.
