Sushi Kitto – Fresh, Flavorful, and a Great Vibe
I recently visited Sushi Kitto while in Palm Springs/Coachella Valley, and it’s some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The California rolls were a good size, incredibly fresh, and had zero fishy taste—just pure, clean flavors that stood out.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere was upbeat with good music and a great vibe, making it an awesome place to enjoy a meal. The service wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either—the staff seemed more engaged with each other than with customers. That said, the quality of the food and the overall experience more than made up for it.
If you're looking for high-quality sushi with fresh ingredients in a fun setting, this spot is still worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

If you love sushi so fresh it practically slaps you in the face with its ocean breeze, then this place is your new home. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like you're on a first-name basis with the entire sushi bar. The fish? So fresh, it might still be swimming—no, seriously. One roll came with a little fish flag saying, "I was just in the ocean!"
The sushi is like a love letter to your taste buds, each bite making you wish you had more stomachs. The wasabi has a sneaky way of creeping up on you like that one friend who says "try this!" and then watches in horror as you realize you're not prepared for the spice.
If you haven't been yet, just know that after one visit, you’ll be calling it your "go-to" spot, whether you're craving an extravagant dinner or just trying to impress your date by pretending you know how to use chopsticks properly. Highly recommend this sushi haven unless you don't like good food—and who doesn't like good food?!

I cannot say anything bad about this place. That's astonishing, trust me.
Disappointing. The service was good, but...Sticky tables, lots of flies buzzing around, the sushi rolls fell apart, fish was not the freshest, it was soaked in lemon to hide it. Super expensive for poor quality. :/

Over priced for the quality. $13.75 for a basic California roll. Questioning Google Maps star rating system. There is no way this is a 4.3 star place.

Was so excited to come here. Service is great. The waiter, server, host, everyone was pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere was nice. Clean. Had college football/basketball playing. Good music.
But the food is a different story. I had the dinner special with chicken teriyaki. The chicken had no flavor and was spongy. Not sure how they cook it. There wasn’t much teriyaki sauce on the chicken. The salad wasn’t good, the leaves were very bitter. I didn’t care for the miso soup but I didn’t hate it. Just too much seaweed for me. The person I went with said their salmon had no flavor with exception of the teriyaki sauce which wasn’t much. Tempura was… kind of soggy. Like when you try to reheat left overs in the microwave the next day. There was no crisp to it. I also heard a woman who was sitting at the bar also complain about the tempura as well. The salmon nigiri was good though, can’t complain about that.
I don’t know how the sushi rolls are but just the experience I had was more than enough to tell me not to go back. Also the price for the food we were served was NOT worth it. There are Cheaper sushi options the valley that have better food.

First and last time I eat there. The service was great..nice friendly attentive servers. The food is a different question. Salmon Teriyaki was not grilled it seamed like it was steamed with watered down Teriyaki sauce no flavor. The tempura was so soggy seamed like it was not fresh like maybe it was deep fried and set under a heating light. They really need to up their cooking skills. I did enjoy the white rice.

Tasty food, but skimpy ingredients—little to no filling in my crab rangoon, also, sushi roll was mostly rice with small amounts of actual ingredients
