This spot is hands down 5 stars! From the moment I walked in, the hospitality was warm and genuine, and the food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere felt so authentic—everything from the accents, to the sayings on the walls, to the bold flavors of the dishes made it feel like a little piece of Jamaica right here in Cali.
If you’re looking for not just great food but also a cultural experience, this is the place. I love how they stay true to the culture—it’s vibrant, welcoming, and unforgettable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

They got a little makeover I see y’all 💅🏾— probably some of the best Jamaican food I’ve had in LA — order the patties ahead of time they always sell out

I ordered the oxtail small plate today and it was totally off. No flavor but a lot of salt. They were totally off its mark today. $20 too much to pay for a plate of salt. Also, service was not great. It doesn't hurt to greet the customers with a smile or some warmth. Gave two stars as the restaurant was very clean.

Cha! This isn’t Jamaican food. It’s coconut all in the food, I should’ve listen to a white man’s review anyway but I love Kev. Oxtail, don’t taste like Jamaican anything, no butter beans, nothing. Rice and peas coconut flavor, cabbage coconut flavor 😂, called the store, whoever answered the phone was having a conversation before she even acknowledged the person calling. 0/10 I promise. Now, Waagwan was better. Way better.

The oxtails were absolutely fire, the way that the juice from the oxtails married with the rice and peas OMG. Lol even the vegetables had a buttery delicious savory taste. Wow plantains!!! sweet and yummy. I could eat it every day. It was the bomb.com

From a yardi, I would say it is a Ok, not the best curry goat I've had, and not the worst either. The curry could have simmer a bit more, it had a little grit and bit too much all spicy. Peas was a little under cook, it was hard. Would go back and try the Oxtail and see how that is.

The food was really dissapointing. Not sure if it's always like this but everything was mushy and overcooked. I got the rice n peas and salt fish n ackee plate with calaloo. It was $25 and calaloo was from a can.

Everything was flavorful and cooked very well. I waited about 40 minutes for it to come via Uber and it was still warm and fresh. The portions are hearty. Definitely a spot to return to.

Nice, clean, and friendly Jamacia restaurant.
We felt as if we were home in Montego Bay again but without the 8-hour flight.
The jerk chicken meal, ox tail meal, and chicken soup were a delicious treat for our first time here.
Thank you so much!

First time being out there in Los Angeles California I was on vacation I live in Colorado springs and y'all have good food its so so so good I was be back keep up the good work on the food
It lived up to the hype. The curry chicken is really good and the rice is cooked even. I wish I had more plantains! Next time. Jerk chicken is good. Not too spicy but maybe just a Pinch of too much salt. But I also can't handle spicy foods, so that's subjective. Will order again. Everything was still warm even ordering for delivery.
it was good and probably great if you don't eat a lot of Oxtail . However, I found the oxtail to not have a strong flavor profile or anything. it definitely was cooked to the point of being ways to eat and meat taking off the bone, but the taste didn't wow me. The plantains were a little over cooked and didn't have the pop of flavor I like. My wife thought rice and peas were really flavorful, but there could have been more beans mixed .
Food was fire waitress kinda had a attitude other that that the food was awesome
This was my first time visiting. Service excellent! The young lady who assisted us at the counter had a very pleasant / professional and friendly attitude! It makes you want to come back just to experience her. It’s take out only. We ordered large oxtails and fried fish. It was my bad for not asking questions because I’m used to my fried snapper being emerged in brown stew. So I was disappointed when I opened up my plate to see it was without stew. We also grabbed a beef and chicken patty. The beef tasted the way it looked (delicious). Unfortunately the chicken didn’t have the flaky crust and was gummy. I’d recommend trying them out I’ll try them again.
