Update 2025: this is my fourth time coming to the restaurant, driving a long and realizng it's closed. I tried to call them many times. Nothing on their page. I changed my rating after the fourth time. I'm not coming back. There were a couple who were upset seeing the place is closed. I'm so sorry for your management. I wish I could have a legitimate explanation.

Past experience:
I went there again. Due to the Covid19, they moved their tables to the back. I think there are five tables with a safe distance. Most of them have shades (in case you would like to go early before the sunset).
The food was excellent. I ordered deep-fried fish and something else (I cannot remember, but you can see in the pictures I uploaded).
The fish was delicious. I want to go try it again.
During their busy hours, it might take a bit longer than usual to prepare your order. I believe it worths waiting.

Delicious and AUTHENTIC. Our friend recommended this place and said it reminded him of home. We were welcomed in like family and the chef even taught us about how they developed their special recipes. Highly recommend.

Some of the best Ethiopian food we’ve had so far in LA (or anywhere). We had the vegetarian platter which is our usual go-to. Everything done perfectly.

You feel like you’re no longer in Los Angeles. We were attended by emma herself for a late afternoon lunch and have the lamb and crispy beef over this and incredible bread. You can sit at a typical Ethiopian wicker basket table if you want. It is a thoroughly exoticand enjoyable experience.

We had 2 vegan combo and 2 orders of sambusas (total of 4) and it was all SO good!!! We drank honey wine and pelligrino. The food came out as one big plate and fed our family of 4 and we had leftovers to take home. The back patio had lots of space for our kids to roam in between bites. We will definitely be back

Los Angeles is one of only a handful of cities in the world where you might be fortunate enough to have tried multiple Ethiopian restaurants. As one of the fortunate, I can honestly say that Emma Sheba is THE BEST ONE.
.
Oh man the food is so delicious. It is served very promptly and the staff is so warm and friendly.
.
We ordered multiple things and ate family-style. Our absolute favorite was the DORO WAT. Paired with their homemade honey wine.
.
We felt like royalty.
.
10/10 will come back again soon!
