Tiny hole in the wall soil food restaurant. Delicious! No tables just service counter. Tiny Tiny parking lot, we found street parking. I got the ribs, corn & organic, mashed potatoes. My boyfriend got smothered chicken, cabbage, and greens. We got 2 meals out of it. It was the best soul food I've ever had. Went after an event at the intuit dome. Took the food to Rowland heights and it was still hot! Bang for the buck! This place is fuiyoh! Not fancy just great tasty food done right with love! Very very strongly recommend! I'm going back the next time I'm in the area.

I wanna believe this is one of those hole in the wall places that’s been a neighborhood stable for decades now, but as of 2025 this place is not worth the price. I got the oxtail dinner with mac & cheese and collard greens. The mac & cheese was probably the best thing on my plate. not cheesy, but creamy and flavorful. The collard greens and the oxtail, including the gravy, were bland. very under-salted and under-seasoned. The cornbread muffin that came with it was just OK, honestly tasted like it was out of the box. For $33 I expected more, it just did not get what I needed to give.

BEWARE OF DECEITFUL MENU PRICES!! The food is just good. I was APPALLED AT THE PRICES!!! they list a menu with $2-4 ite.s and when you get your bill it's OUTRAGEOUS! They are deceitful while you're ordering and instead of telling you there is a A LA CARTE MENU AMD A DINNER MENU THEY JUST SERVE YOU AMD CHARGE YOU UP! I WASS PISSED AND SISNT WANT TO MAKE A SCENE BUT I WONT GO THERE AGAIN JUST ON THEIR DECEITFUL TACTICS! Amd BTW THE GREENS ARE CANNED😵i asked them if they were canned and they said NO EVERYTHING IS FRESH...I know canned greens when I eat them and also $16 for 1 short rib...ONE! I will not be going there again

I used to like the food years ago so I decided to try the food again. Sticker shock! Not worth the money and the price is outrageous. I could have gone to a grocery store deli and been more satisfied. Sorry but you out priced yourself. For $34.00 I can go to better restaurants.

I paid $50 The yams tasted like they came out a can, the pork chops were disgusting, the macaroni and cheese was a 1out of 10 horrible food.
Went there today because I am trying to eat healty got some salmon, spinach, and cabbage. First off why is it so expensive? My plate was $27.00 that's ridiculous. The salmon was bland I has to put some salt and pepper on it just to be able to eat it. The spanich taste like the Popeye's spinach out of the can, on everything I don't care what they say that spinish was out of the can. I though it was a soul food place why is it mexican and soul where they do that at? That does not go together at all I will never go back there. ITS A NO FOR ME. I would of been better off going to waba grill getting salmon from there may not be the best but it's way cheaper. I'm telling you don't go.

Bad experience, customer service was bad. No prices was post for dinner plates. When I checked my receipt I found discrepancies. I was told they did not want my business. They void my transaction and ark me to leave. I was told they was to buzy to deal with me. The only Soul Food restaurant Mac and Cheese is not a side but you have to pay for separately!!!

On the Google page the prices are very reasonable but when you get there you’ll see no prices listed for anything. I ordered some pork ribs, cabbage, green beans and a small side of white beans. Everything tasted really great but imagine my surprise when the price was almost $30. Online, the average side is $2 and main dishes were about $5-7. The portions are very generous but I’m used to Chef Marilyn’s prices. Equal quality at both places. Parking is limited, I parked a block away. The counter people were very friendly and helpful. A small side of beans is $1.50 but I was charged $7.50. I felt really cheated.
Vegetarian options: Lots of beans, mashed potatoes, yams, cabbage, string beans and collard greens. You won’t go hungry
