We accidentally went to the wrong location to pick up our order. When I checked at the counter, instead of letting us know the order wasn’t at that location, they told us it would be “just a few more minutes.” Because of that, we waited unnecessarily instead of heading to the correct location, which was only 1.5 miles away. By the time we realized the mistake, our food at the correct location had been sitting for longer and was no longer going to be fresh. I understand that the location mix-up was our mistake, but the staff should have checked the order and told us right away rather than giving us incorrect information.

I had ordered a large coffee and a blueberry muffin.
Also a separate order of breakfast burrito for my son. He’s gotten it before at another location.
Never had a problem with service at either location I’ve been in.

Food and service is good but the bathroom needs to be renovated and it has a horrible sewage smell.

Beautiful space made famous by the HBO hit Insecure. Really nice to read, study, meet with friends etc over a cup of coffee. Service was fast and it’s a nice vibe inside.

The cappuccino with lavender was crazy sweet though, and I only asked for a half dose of lavender. Couldn’t really get much taste from the espresso, not sure if it was poorly extracted or because the sweetness of the lavender syrup was overwhelming.

Some of their sandwiches looked really good so I’m disappointed I got the chicken salad - it was not good. Was basically coleslaw with a bit of chicken. The protein was drenched in super sweet sesame sauce and most of the dish was crispy fried wonton strips.

I’d highly recommend they cut down on the sauce and crispy strips by 50%, add way more veggies and a healthy grain instead of all the fried wonton strips.

Great co-working atmosphere! The music is a vibe, the service is great, the food I did not try today but the sweet potato loaf is DELISH!!!

I have actually only one issue and that is the bathrooms. No hand soap in either one and it is a bit dated and def needs to match the esthetic of the cafe upstairs and downstairs. There is an old leaky pipe type of smell also. I would def return to try some food to give a full review.

The horchata matcha latte was amazing. Grits needed more seasoning and I think the shrimp should have some type of sauce for the huge bowl of grits. Collard greens were to DIE FOR!!! Breakfast sandwich was super solid. Service was great.

I’m glad to see it’s a black owned business. However these prices are absolutely ridiculous for the quality of food and coffee they offer. The service has been awful the last two times I’ve been here. Today someone took my drink and when I told the barista he had an attitude like it was MY fault. Places like Sip and Sonder were the true gem of this neighborhood. Very sad to see them gone.

Avocado toast was soooooooo yummy but my favorite thing was the matcha-chata!! The drink tastes like authentic horchata and it compliments so well with the matcha. I am obsessed with this drink. So glad we stopped by here!
