Everything is INCREDIBLE!
I’m five stars because I can’t do any more.
Best ox tail and jerk chicken I’ve had in my life.
I cannot sing this place’s praises enough.
This place makes Cisero’s look like McDonald’s.

Good food but slow service. Best to do a call in order then pick up. Usually a 20 minute or more wait unless you getting a Jamaican patties.

First time at this restaurant, and we will be back. This time had the jerk chicken with rice and peas. Ma had the ox tail with rice and peas. Food was fresh and very tasteful. Served hot and we just can't say enough, so we will just go back again and enjoy. Oh yeah, ma also had the chicken soup, too!
Location is a Lil ruff, but PLEASEEEEE don't let that derail you. Hungry Joe's Jamican Rest was 🔥. HONESTLY EVERYTHING was fresh, the cabbage was bright and crispy, the Jerk chicken was moist, seasoned perfectly, and the rice and peas were soft. The plantain was good as well, but I wasn't a big fan of their patties, and we actually went back the next day to grab 2 because they stop preparing them at 5pm. We got one beef and one jerk chicken. My boyfriend had the beef one, and he said it was pretty good. I, however, had the jerk chicken one, and it lacked filling it was very dry in the inside, and I didn't like the fact that patties dough were different. The jerk chicken patty dough was hard and white, and the beef pattie dough was the soft, light, airy yellow dough. But other than that, I would most deff go again, again, and again.
With all due respect,
After reading most reviews, NO THANK YOU!!!!
5 stars because the food is fire! Jerk is super spicy just the way I like it! Small jerk chicken is easily 2+ meals for me. They set up a little seating area in the parking lot which is really nice.
I've tried on seperate occassionas to order the salmon and shrimp to no avail. I always end up with the chicken. Takes 30 minutes for shrimp curry so I guess order ahead if you want that?
Staff lumbers about. They dont get excited about anything.
Horrible. If you value your time or money, go anywhere else. Lees, Blessed, Wi Jammin, you name it. This place sucks, the workers suck, and nothing is worth the poor service that they provide.
Food was delicious. Had the jerk chicken with rice and peas. Plantains were so good. Must try!!!

It’s changed so much over the years. Plantains were dry and tasteless. I picked through so many bones while trying to eat my oxtails, and they aren’t the same. I’ve given this place a couple of more tries before I called it quits, but it didn’t get better. I will no longer order from them.

I always get the oxtail plate. Delicious ? it's gonna run you $30 up for a large plate. But I won't knock them for that. Oxtails are expensive in general. They have a small plate that's cheaper. Anyways, I always call my order in and pick it up. The oxtails so tender. Rice n peas and plantains so good. Definitely worth it if you are in the area!

Oxtails had all the fat on it. It was awful. I had to throw my food away. my peas and rice was saugy. It was just not the right to spend my last for the week. Gotta be careful where we spend our hard earned money or just cook at home.

I called to place a pick up order. I was asked if it was OK to place me on hold. I responded sure. I was placed on hold for over 15 minutes and by that time I was about 5 min away from the restaurant and they said I would have to wait 20 minutes for the food. Never again. Professionalism is terrible for just food that is ok.... if the food was fire maybe I would accept the horrible customer service. Next time I am going to TEV's Family Kitchen as their food has more flavor and they have better customer service.

Hungry Joe's was awesome. I got a small plate and it lasted for 3 meals for me. My girlfriend got a large oxtail meal and it was two meals for her. We also got an ackee and saltfish and it was awesome. We will be going back.
