“A true hidden gem!”
As a local, I can confidently say this place is one of those hole-in-the-wall spots you have to try if you’re in the area. The service is always quick and genuinely friendly — they make you feel like family the second you walk in. The food? Absolutely delicious. They serve one of the best chilaquiles I’ve had anywhere, hands down. Every dish is packed with flavor, and the menu features authentic Oaxacan food that’s hard to find done right. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and everything tastes homemade. It’s the kind of spot you end up coming back to again and again. Don’t miss it!

I had the pleasure of trying the specialty street tacos at this Mexican restaurant, and I was blown away! The tortillas were perfectly soft and warm, and the fillings were fresh, flavorful, and packed with authentic taste. Each taco had just the right balance of seasoning and toppings, with the carne asada being a standout—tender and juicy, bursting with flavor. The salsas and garnishes were the perfect complement, adding a nice kick without overpowering the flavors. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was welcoming. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine, you absolutely can't miss these street tacos! Highly recommend!

This was my first visit to Burrito Caliente but I can assure you it won't be my last. One of the best Mexican restaurants in LA. I lived briefly in Mexico and lived in a loft across the 4th St Bridge in Boyle Heights. The ladies at BC are friendly and masters of customer service. It's easy to overlook this restaurant on Crenshaw in a small kiosk. Please take the time to go there. You won't be sorry.

They have no variety on their menu and they call themselves Oaxacan food and they only have about three Oaxacan dishes. I asked them about different Oaxacan dishes and they don't even know what it is and they serve very slowly. They bring out a dish every 10 or 15 minutes. We couldn't eat together. We ate one by one ????
