Not a good experience today.
Sliced beef was super dry.
Baby backs hardly any meat, not tender and dry. Chicken was OK.
Very disappointed 😞

I have been here before and the food is good some of the time and just decent at other times. (hit or miss) I am writing this review simply because we wanted to pre-order for pick up tomorrow 12/24/24. Knowing it would be busy I had a few questions as to what time they close tomorrow. Also how we will pick up our food if pre-ordered. Things like, is there a special line for pre-orders? or will we have to wait in the same line with everyone else after we've pre-ordered? And is there a cut off time for pre-orders? Today 11/23/2024 11am, the phone is off the hook and they are not accepting calls. Its quite unfortunate that as a community we self sabotage our businesses all the time in ways like this. This tells me a few things and its common with our black owned establishments, we always do the bare minimum when it come to customer service. Like running out of food how does that happen??? That tells me alot about how they feel about the people that support them.
If they had an answering service that addressed these questions as these are questions they should assume will be asked. It would literally take no time and you would not have to ignore your phone to do it. This assuming you're too busy to answer your own phone used for purposes just like these. Not sure why they stop taking calls but that's a deal breaker for me and likely one that will keep me from ever coming back. Nobody wants to order food for the holiday's and not know will they have food left at time of pick up. Also, we don't want to arrive and see a closed sign after we've paid. We damn sure dont want to wait in regular lines with people who didn't pre-order, but at these hood spot you just never know? Quite often their mindset is that they are doing us a favor not the other way around. Its this attitude that turns me off from supporting certain spots. I try to rotate money in black hands. just being real. So now its 4pm, and still not answering phones. So if we order we have no idea what's going on?? I never pre-order blind from a hood spot a day or two from the holidays. Now I cant even suggest them to friends because I never know how they'll be treated upon they're arrival. If the owner reads this. You should re think your business model. 1.You aint doing us no favors. 2. using your phone may actually make you more money. 3. How can you plan to have enough product if you don't even answer your phone. 4. Some people don't live next door many of us live far away and have traffic to deal with and just want easy access to quality food but of course at the hood spots that's expecting too much and that my friends is the problem. Lastly its now 4pm I tried to call all day because I didn't want to have to review them. But if you never say anything they'll never know how they're business is perceived. In my opinion having the phone off the hook indicates that quite possibly they dont really care. Sad case of of hood business practices. I would do 2 1/5 stars if I could for that reason alone. I'll just BBQ at home and save the gas. Good Luck.

Good bar-b-que like the flavor. The lady was very helpful and she suggested a dessert that was as good as she said it was. Will be going back.

Since I called back after getting my food and they don't answer at 3:30pm. 1. The potato salad is horrible. 2. The baked beans tastes like the can it came in 3. The ribs weren't cooked well. Safe to say, that's my last trip

I am an original Phillips Gal...
From Lemerit Park to Crenshaw Blvd.
These two locations no longer exist.
I believe that I have only been to this Inglewood location only once since it's been here.
I decided to give them a try. Boi,Oh Boi -
I was overjoyed about my food and friendly service.
My food was over the top with the freshness, tenderness, taste and the portion size of the meat.
I told my family that if my Rib was a paint brush and flinged it, It would have broken off!!
Lol
Thanks to the cooks!!
Awesome job!!
I will be returning.

What can I say about this place. If you’re looking for a real deal bbq spot, you’ve found it. Everything on the menu is good. I don’t eat beef but my wife does and she swears by the sliced beef and the ribs. I always get the chicken dinner with the chicken sausage and half chicken. You can get the sauce any level of spice that you want which adds to the overall flavor. The collards greens and potato salad are my favorite sides to get. The price for the quality of taste that you get is well worth the price. I’ve been coming here for years but never reviewed this place. Well now you have an honest review. I definitely recommend you going to get some food from here. You won’t be disappointed

I was on my way to Woody’s but hadn’t been in a while so I was a bit a hesitant. Saw Phillips on the way which I’ve had at the Crenshaw location. Prices more than woodys but we got a lot meat. Most of my tips were bone. Sides need work. My order was messed up, I ordered chicken not chicken links and was told since it was already cut I needed to wait an additional 25 min after waiting 30 min 😒 so check your receipt. Barely any sauce on the meat, glad I ordered a side of sauce. For the prices, I expect more. I’ll probably checkout woodys next time.

Seriously Delicious savory sauce that’s not goopy, and the meat was marinated perfectly marinated before cooking, So flavor goes all the way to the bone!
I’d the bones to, but that would cost me to much in Dental work!!!😉
