I’ve visited Pupuseria El Cerro Verde twice now, and both times were excellent. The first time, I ordered the revueltas pupusas and chicken tamales, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. I loved being able to see the kitchen — there’s something special about hearing the lady hand‑slapping the pupusas right there. It’s as authentic as it gets.
The service was fast, the lady at the register was very kind, and the prices were great for the quality you get.
On my second visit, I tried the yuca and chicharrón, and it was just as delicious. Great portions, great flavor, and consistently good food.
Overall, this place offers amazing quality, authentic cooking, and friendly service. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to when I'm on town.

Well thank God I found this place again. They were located on Hawthorne boulevard in one day disappeared. You have no idea how much money I throw away trying to find decent pupusas. Now thank God that I found them I won't buy them anywhere else.
