Ahh, those bean pies! Cheese and bean is so smooth and creamy, almost like a custard....delicious.

Simply Wholesome market introduced the bean pie to me when I was shopping for shea butter. I saw the pie near the register and was intrigued since I never had a bean pie before. OMG I was floored on how delicious it was and how it hasn't been in my life earlier. I looked up Shabazz Bakery and found out the location. That's the tricky part cuz it's near the airport and it's hard to create a "reason" to drive out there with other activities. But I had to go there so it took me 2 weeks to finally get over there. I knew I was going to get a bean pie but what other new flavors to try? Decided on carrot pie. So amazing I can eat that in heavy rotation weekly and not feel guilty at all about it (it's a vegetable!) Oh man can't wait to eat their inventory. Had a fish sausage burger as well (made the run my "lunch") which was delicious with a little kick in it. Definitely need to swing by and get a pie whenever I'm in the neighborhood picking people up from LAX.

OMG this is a classic! Hands down, all time favorite. Ever since I was really young, the great taste has never changed. I'm so glad I found them again. I'll definitely be back with my kids next time!

This would have been a 5 star review because the food was SO DAMN GOOD!! Took away a star for the shameful service I received and I was the ONLY customer for about 10mins. How the hell do you ask the next customer, "Are you with THAT guy?" and point at me? He says no and she asks "Can I help you?" I'm waiting for the order I paid for like 10-15mins ago. Yeah that s*** sucked

Such a hidden Gem. A delicious salad with a HUGE piece of freshly prepared fish: snapper, salmon or whiting only 6.75$. A scrumptious slice of blueberry pie 3$. Or you can get the whole pie for 10$. Delicious, fresh food, filled with flavor cooked to order. The prices & quality are like I went back in time atleast 20 yrs. You can't find this kind of quality at this price. Normally I am scared of desert because it makes me feal sluggish & slows me down. But this one didn't. It doesn't contain any sugar, white flour or preservatives. So it nourishes your body instead of poisoning it. I intend to go there atleast every other day. AMAZING!

I won't leave the area without picking up at least two bean pies!

The food is really good. I usually order the red snapper, potato salad, and cabbage. I especially like the bean pies.

This is not like the old Shabazz off Hillcrest. I support this spot but the vibes have fallen off including the food. Support them thru these ruff times because i think covid-19 has taken out spirits out of us...

My boyfriend always gets the bean pie from here and its bomb! Every time he's in LA he brings 3 bean pies back. 1 for his brother, 1 for me and 1 for himself lol. That's how good they are!

I have been going here for years and they have the best Bean Pies I have ever tasted. Friendly service and parking is easy. If your in LA this is the only place you need to go for the real deal.

I love this bakery a lot. I drive from San Luis Obispo to have me some good old bean pies. All the flavors are delicious and those folks that don't like them then that means that's more for me. Keep up the hard work making these pies. I forget that their closed on Sundays though. I will continue to support and May God continue to Bless and Protect them.

If you love thin and crunchy cookies , this is definitely for you. We found this place on our first morning and ended going back every day. Very pleased we didn't book breakfast at the hotel after all!
