Services is remarkable nit waiting a long time to get your food. I order catfish yams red beans rice omg delicious. The atmosphere is so relaxing and also can be romantic for you and your boo. Staff very professional and kind will be back with my boo.

Came on a Saturday afternoon before rolling loud place was super packed had to wait a few minutes to place order there was only one cashier she was sweet and patient considering how busy it was! Food was very subpar tho first soul food place we ate in Cali and was not impressed whatsoever food was very bland (ordered smothered chicken with cabbage and Mac; was supposed to come with cornbread but guess they forgot it) I try to support all black business but you can definitely find better soul food was a bit overpriced for taste..

If you're looking for seasoned food this is the place to be! Being a southern chic, a lot of food in the LA area was lacking seasoning. We stumbled upon this gem and enjoyed all that we ordered. Service was exceptional!! From the fruity pebble French toast, to the shrimp & grits, to the fried fish & sides.....it was all top notch. The only thing I would suggest is asking for the fish to be fried hard. Sorry for not posting any pictures.....we smashed. ☺️

Food is pretty good prices are better than average but there is a traded off. There is no table service and all food is served in Styrofoam to go containers with plastic utensils. The chairs are very in comfortable. Id say it's more of a to go spot although the decor and plethora of tvs are nice. It would be nice if there was a least one TV on the opposite wall so that not only people on one side can see them. The food was good nothing special although the waffles were a little disappointing. The Flavor was good BUT they were very soggy not crispy at all.

The food was great and a lot of it. Totally worth the money.
The flavor was good but I don’t really understand what’s the deal with ordering a $20 plate of food and it being served in plastic and styrofoam to go containers when I am dining in the restaurant. It makes the food get soggy and isn’t as pleasant of a dining experience, especially for the price. Also they charge for water cups.

They gave you a nice size portion . Maybe because I went right when they were closing. However the food was delicious. I will definitely return. I had smothered pork chops, Mac and cheese, greens . My baby had fried chicken, greens , and masked potatoes. I loved the food.

Well this one dropped. My last experience here was really weird. I'm not sure if they cut staff or people called off but there were no servers. The line to order food started to back up and there was no communication from the staff about what was going on. People started to leave and eventually I did too. I noticed that a lot of the menu has been cut too. Idk what's happening with them but I hope they figure it out because my previous experience was great.
