Best food
Today was my 1st visit and the customer service was very poor. I literally waited an hour and 20 mins for my food. I was upset because the lady taking orders didn't acknowledge the time nor apologize. HOWEVER the okra soup that I ordered with goat meat and cow skin was the best I've had. The food was top tier.

Ordered egusi & pounded yam for take out. Food tasted like it was made with love. Portions are huge and food is quality. I could eat this everyday. Definitely coming back! 10/10

The food is decent, and I appreciate the hard-working cooks in the back. However, the cashier will be the downfall of this place.
I went yesterday, and she had a huge attitude with me when I wanted to add a side of rice to my order. It was last minute, but instead of simply saying no, she rolled her eyes and acted annoyed, so I changed my mind.
Later, there were customers eating together. The cashier accidentally overcharged one of them and gave her less change. When the customer pointed it out, the receptionist gave her attitude again. Shortly after, a man who was with the group asked for napkins. She grabbed a bottle of napkins and basically slammed them on the opposite side of the counter, forcing him to walk over and get them. He asked her why she did that when he was standing right there. The customer told her she needed to be more cheerful and that her behavior was extremely rude.
I definitely won’t be coming back here.

I ordered eba and was offered something that seems to have been cooked since 2 weeks. I complained and the lady was totally impolite.

I was looking forward to his place because I heard good things about it. But the food was so bad. The egusi was not good and a little sour. Not sure if it was a bad batch or if it was an off day but I have had good egusi before and this was not good. Also the joloff rice wasnt good either and for $20+ it was criminal.

Veronica’s Kitchen is a great find. The Egusi was hearty and deliciously seasoned, and the Jollof rice was so flavorful. The environment is warm and friendly, and the staff make us feel right at home. Highly recommend!

If you want to wait 4 hours for a single dish this is where you want to be! It’s like they still need to catch the animal before they cook your food. We literally waited 4 hours for white rice & stew and this isn’t an exaggeration at all! Even if you place an order over the phone you’ll still very much wait till you regret. The stuff lies about food wait times & durations just to keep you thrtr

The food here was absolutely amazing. We came from out of town to drop my son off at college, and this was the last meal he requested before we said goodbye. The service was wonderful, attentive and welcoming and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
The portions were generous, so much so that we had plenty to take home, which made it even better. Every dish was bursting with flavor. I’ve tried egusi and fufu at different places before, but this was by far the best I’ve ever had. I ordered the chicken, while my son and husband had the goat, and none of us were disappointed.
Even my six and seven-year-old, who have tried these dishes before and weren’t fans, loved it this time. They kept asking for more, especially the chicken. That chicken was incredible.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic, flavorful food and a great dining experience. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

First and foremost, I don’t even leave reviews but I think the Lady in the kitchen deserves a 5 Star. She is very sweet and super friendly and genuine. She will definitely put all the other African restaurants out of business, this lady can cook, her hands are magical, the kitchen is very clean. I have never tasted a chicken stew so good like hers. She came out of the kitchen sweating to hand me my food, she puts her all into it. As long as she’s the cook, she will get all the attention. Putting anyone else to cook, wouldn’t be a good idea. The best in Los Angeles believe it
