We walked over to here from the hotel nearby. Not really sure what we wanted and we had a couple picky eaters. I do have to say, at 5pm, there was no wait for a table. The mall was VERY busy, so it was interesting how empty it was. We were met with free bread and menus very quickly. We ordered a happy hour pizza which included a beer for $9. Pretty cheap if you ask me. The pizza was a small sized, but worked great for dinner. We ordered an appetizer as well. For $35 for two adults and a child was pretty good in my opinion. I will have to say, the service is very slow. It took a period of time for a waitress to ask for our order. The pizza took almost 30 minutes, which is odd considering its pizza, and the establishment was nearly empty. It took another period of waiting for a to-go box for my kids meal. If you want a good happy hour menu, definitely visit. Outside of that, I don't think its really worth your money considering how many other restaurants are in the mall area.

There was absolutely no service whatsoever. The waiter didn't say much when I ordered, and after I told her what I wanted, and she just walked away. They also got the order wrong, missing both the dessert and a main course. I waited more than 25 minutes to pay the bill, and no one even acknowledged me. I had to walk up to the counter and request the bill. When I mentioned all of this to the manager, they said that this was not an aspect they offered. As a restaurant that needs tips, not a fast food place, they in fact do need service.

The waiters there had no mind for service, there said nothing to us, and we had to just say what we wanted. She then spun on her heels and walked away. The manager was thinking about business instead of us and asked us how we ordered. You guys are a restaurant, not fast food, you guys want tips, and if you want tips then you need better service. Or are you guys racist? I saw her smiling with other people but when she came to us, not a spark of happiness was in her face. My family is never coming again.

I’m really disappointed with the service and management. We were initially told the wait time was 25 minutes, but after 50 minutes, when we asked for our table, they suggested we sit outside. We also requested a heater, but they assured us it was working, even though it wasn’t. It was quite frustrating. After an hour of waiting, they finally seated us outside without a heater. We had four kids and a baby with us, and they were all freezing.

We recently dined at this restaurant during the holiday season and would like to share our experience in hopes it will be helpful.
We arrived with children and informed the host that any seating was fine as long as it would allow for a faster service, given that we were with kids. The host suggested patio seating. I expressed concern that it might be cold, especially for the children, and she assured us that heaters were available. Based on that assurance, we agreed to be seated on the patio.
However, as soon as we were seated, it was noticeably cold. We asked to have one of the heaters turned on and were told that the heater was not working and was broken, which was disappointing and uncomfortable, particularly for children.
We were told the wait time would be approximately 25–30 minutes. After about 20 minutes, I politely checked with the host for an update. Her response was unexpectedly rude; she stated that although tables were available, she did not want to overwhelm the servers. While we understand the importance of managing staff workload, the tone and lack of courtesy were unprofessional.
After a longer wait, I asked to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, the manager repeated the same explanation with no empathy or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. We fully understand that the restaurant was busy due to the holidays; however, basic hospitality, kindness, and clear communication should still be maintained.
Additionally, bread, normally served at the beginning of the meal, was not brought to our table and was only provided after we requested it.
When our food finally arrived after a significant delay, the pasta was cold, which added to the overall disappointment.
I would like to note that our server, Christian, was excellent. He was kind, patient, helpful, and professional throughout our visit, and we truly appreciate his service.
Overall, while we understand the challenges of a busy holiday period, better communication, a more welcoming attitude, functioning amenities, and attention to food quality would have greatly improved our experience.

Hi Everyone — Merry Christmas !!
I’m writing this review with an intention that it will reach to wider audiences and will help people to take a decision before visiting this place.
I went to this place around December’ 2025 along with my daughter to celebrate daddy-daughter’s day and Overall our experience was pretty average!
Let me take call out all areas separately:
Service (4/5) — We interacted with 2 people mainly at the restaurant. Servers — she was very nice and well mannered. Front desk/counter — she was kind of rude and not at all respectful.
Atmosphere (3/5) — Pretty average atmosphere, nothing to call out. It needs lot of renovation work to be carried out.
Food (3/5) — We ordered (a) Kungpao Spaghetti (b) Salmon Piccata and both the dishes were just average and salt was also not adequate.
I kindly request the management to look into this and improve the overall customer experience.
Fyi : I visited this place before also and it was much better from service and food standpoint. I don’t know if something has majorly changed chefs or management.
All the best !!

Very nice food but I must say the Banh Mi is a BILLION times better in Australia. Other than that service was impeccable and the pizza and salads were great!

Food was nothing special. I'll probably never eat at CPK again. Two mac n cheeses, one add chicken, half salad and a small cheese pizza ended up $96 with tip, that's crazy. Oh and a $4 sprite. Almost $100 for the mediocre food we got, never again. Service was good.

We went to the CPK at the Spectrum on Black Friday. So busy in the spectrum. Decent wait and reasonable seating time at CPK. The food and service was good. Angel was our server and so friendly and attentive even on a really busy day.

Today our kids wanted pizza, so we went to this location. We arrived at 8:20 PM, and the girl at the front asked us to sit and wait for 10–15 minutes. At 8:35 PM, she came back and told us they couldn’t take us because the kitchen was closing. This felt intentional and very rude, especially because she seated two other couples—one outside on the patio and one inside—right in front of us.
We’re never visiting this California Pizza Kitchen again. We always go to the Mission Viejo location, and this was our first time trying this one. Unfortunately, my kids left hungry because of the mean front door girl

The California pizza I ordered was awful 😢 its was cold. They just leave the food out for a long time. No one call to pick the food.. I have to call them. I was waiting curb side. I’m so disappointed I will never go there again.!!
New management team has the location humming. Good to see the change.
