Horrible meal. I ordered chicken tequila pasta which is supposed to be a “Favorite” as per the menu. Totally flavorless. Did not taste any tequila or lime. It didn’t seem like it even had salt and I ended up adding a ton more. Had I not been in a large group where it would have disrupted the evening I would have sent the food back, it was that bad

ready for a pizza night, and let me tell you, their ketchup-pizza combo is wild! The crust is crispy, the sauce is rich, and that ketchup twist? It’s like your weird cousin showed up with a secret recipe, but it totally works! First bite, I was skeptical, but now I’m hooked. Cheese melts just right, toppings dance with flavor, and it’s like California sunshine in every slice. I laughed when I saw the ketchup idea, but it’s so good, I’m already planning my next visit!

Service wad great, but the food was just ok. My wife's steak for her salad was way overdone and dry.

This location is a noisy atmosphere. I think their pizza had it day and now there is better pizza out there. A concept that was leading edge for its time just no longer seems to work. The franchise hasn't grown in ideas. Meh pizza and experience.

The lady was EXTREMELY rude when I tried to ask if could get a table. The same lady was also very inconsiderate to a family member who came in earlier

We visited California Pizza Kitchen on Saturday, July 12th, around 9:30 p.m., and the entire experience was deeply disappointing.
We arrived as a party of four and saw that at least 25% of the tables were empty. Despite that, the host told us there would be a 30-minute wait. After about 40 minutes, they tried to seat us at a high-top table—one of those tall bar-style tables with stools. These are usually meant for drinks or small parties, not a dinner group. I pointed out several standard empty tables, but the staff simply said “no” without any reason. The lack of courtesy and respect was obvious.
When we were finally seated, it only got worse. The waitress (an Asian lady) brought us water without ice, saying the ice machine was broken. Then she placed four dirty, used plates and utensils on our table—without even checking them. My husband asked, “Is your dishwasher broken too?” because the items were visibly stained. There was no apology from her or any manager, and we had to ask for clean replacements. The waitress had a poor attitude and seemed uninterested in basic customer service.
A few hours after the meal, my husband developed a stomach flu and is still recovering. While we can't say for certain that the restaurant was the cause, the timing is suspicious and troubling—especially given the lack of hygiene we experienced.
When the front of the house is this careless, it makes you wonder what’s happening behind the scenes. As customers, we need to be cautious. Cleanliness, professionalism, and food safety should be non-negotiable. Sadly, CPK failed to meet even the most basic expectations, and we won’t be returning.
Friendly staff, good burger, fish and pizza

We wanted to have a table for 2 guests at 8 pm on Sunday. 50% of the tables were free, but the guys on the reception told us to wait 15 mins. I pointed them on the plenty of free tables, they said that they have a wait list. There was no any line outside and no people waiting. This is sooo weird not to allow guests to get in!

Extremely Disappointed with Service
We’ve ordered pickup from CPK many times to save time before our kids’ tennis lessons. We always request to dine in-store after placing the pickup order to make things more efficient.
Today, the manager was incredibly rude and refused to let us sit and eat, despite over 75% of the tables being open. I even offered to tip and take care of any service charges, but was still turned away without any flexibility or courtesy.
This was a frustrating and unnecessary experience. I strongly recommend that ownership provide proper training to the general manager on customer service and basic accommodation. We’ve been loyal customers, but after today, we’ll be thinking twice before coming back.

Tasty food, but the wait was puzzling. The pizza and pasta were both delicious, and the service was friendly once we were seated. However, we had to wait about 30 minutes—even though there were several empty tables visible when we arrived. That part was a bit frustrating, but overall, the food and service made up for it.

Our server was so lovely and sweet so the two stars are really only for her.
We went as an early Father’s Day celebration before seeing a movie and the pizza was just not good. Nothing tasted fresh except for the huge pieces of burrata dumped onto one of the pizzas. I hate to say that they actually tasted frozen? I arrived at the dinner a little late (about 15 minutes) and the pizza looked like it had been in the fridge and put out on the table. The cheese wasn’t even close to melty - it all looked like it had been sitting out for hours. All three of the pizzas we ordered were so dry - I felt like I needed to dunk all of them in the table oil. My sister got the steak salad and all of her steak was extremely tough to chew through. The place was pretty empty for a Saturday so this experience was honestly surprising. My cosmo was pretty good though!
If you were expecting a fresh and hot pizza, this just wasn’t it. Pieology or Cucina Enotica would probably have been a better choice for this night, but Pieology’s sauce has a lot of sugar and is too sweet, plus CPK’s price point is right between the two.
