This is the best Capital Seafood location I’ve been to. The service is excellent, and the restaurant is clean and spacious l.
Real Chinese dim sum place and not Americanized. Although not the fun push cart dim sum, at least when I went there, I miss those. Like any good dim sum place, it’s very chaotic. Get use to it, accept it, and be assertive.
Totally lost service nonexistent
Told server (who really didn't speak English) we wanted to try dim sum never had it before didn't know what to do. So!
We got one can tray what ever that was and chicken fried rice
That was it no drinks water had to wave around server to get his attention surprised that it was so bad and no one tried to help us. It was a birthday and we had herd about dinner sum
Really bad.
We went here for dinner (dimsum). We were disappointed to find out that they only serve dimsum during lunch 😞
Westlake minced beef soup & spice eggplant & Beijing duck !(half) 💛💛💛💛💛💛
Our choices every-time coming over!
I went in planning to try the seafood but ended up ordering the “Peking Duck H.” I asked the waiter what “H” meant — he said “half.” I confirmed, “Half a duck?” and he said “yes.” The menu lists $30.88 for half, $58.88 for a whole duck.
When it came out, it was more like less than a quarter — just a leg and a few pieces of breast (see my photos). It definitely wasn’t half a duck.
The duck itself was very good — crispy and tender. I didn’t care for the buns that came with it. Overall, the pricing felt a little tricky and on the higher side. Maybe I should have ordered seafood or one of the whole fish dishes, which actually seemed like a better value.
It seems like a fancy restaurant, but the staff didn’t communicate well about the dishes. It felt like they just wanted to take your order and leave you there, without explaining the menu or checking back.
The environment was nice and comfortable. Restrooms were clean with touchless faucets and paper towel dispensers — it would be nice if the soap dispenser was touchless too.
Parking is convenient at the Irvine Spectrum, close to the Ferris wheel.
We’ve been going to Capital Seafood for MANY MANY YEARS now and just realized I haven’t made any reviews yet! Well, here it goes… we so love this place! We always go during dimsum hours and we love their dimsum choices! The foods are all amazing and first class!!! The service is even better! Our drinks are constantly filled and they always check if there’s anything else we need. Their manager will also go around and help serve! Eventhough we live an hr away from Irvine now, we still make sure we go to this place at least once a month! Excellent food and VIP service!
Complimentary tea and dessert are amazing. We ordered the mango sake, Peking duck, and soup dumplings. The duck and sake were amazing and the portions are large.

This place is authentic in taste but not the best. Prices start at around $7 to $11 for a round metal container with dimsum. Most likely you would start of at the $9 category like i did. The prices are high and the food quantity is decent. Paid $90ish for like 10 dimsum dish..... hmmmmmmm ? ? ? ?

No wait on a Sunday. Was able to just walk in as a whole family which was incredible. Staff was fast and attentive. Pricy but worth it for good dimsum and quality time.

Ordered takeout multiple times from Capital seafood, shiu mai was a must. However this time they looked/tasted different from what we had previously. Must be from leftover from yesterday or older.. disappointed.

Our go-to spot for dim sum while visiting family in Orange County. Tasty food and solid service. As an added bonus, it's located in Irvine Spectrum, so after feasting on dumplings you can go shopping, stroll around and people watch, or let the kids play on the splash pad or climb the play structure. It makes for a fun outing, not just a meal out.

DO NOT GET DIM SUM HERE!!! We ordered six dishes and five came out obviously reheated but still only lukewarm. Super greasy. We were informed 20 minutes after ordering that one dish we ordered was out of stock so we decided to cancel it, but two minutes later someone showed up with the dish and told us they already made it so we can't just cancel…
Would definitely have given 0 stars if possible.
