Cheesetella in Irvine is a lovely spot for light, fluffy cakes. I tried the original cheesecake and it was soft, airy, and not too sweet — super easy to finish without feeling heavy. The ube flavor was also really good and unique. The shop is small with limited seating, so it’s better for take-out, but the staff was friendly and everything tasted fresh. I’d definitely come back for another slice!

I went to Cheesetella with my friends when we pass by Irvine this Friday. I am always very into desserts and this shop is so good. The cake there is very soft and not that sweet. I watched the employees to make the cakes. They are very detailed. I bought a lot home for my parents and they love it too. Thank you this place will definitely go next time.

Went into Cheesetella not knowing what to expect. The first item I ordered was sold out. Second item was also sold out. 😂
Ordered the one with cream and it was underwhelming. I was expecting a custard, but it was whipped cream. Bread flavor was good, airy and fluffy, but it would be better with a custard. IMO

Had bought twice from them but then on the third time had an awful experience, saw they had Halloween special(?) flavor but when went to the store they were confused on what I was talking about and didn’t even try to explain what they actually meant.. my fav used to be the cheesetella but they were sold out that day (along with one other flavor) so I asked if I could sample other flavors to which I was rudely responded with “no, no samples”..

The person behind the counter was super helpful! I forgot his name; THANK YOU. I tried the Creme cake and the regular cheese cake. I would suggest to go with the regular cheese cake. The creme cake is nothing more than done creme sandwiches between 2 thick slices of sponge cake.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I was genuinely touched and deeply impressed by the owner of this Cheesetella location. I had placed an order for a cheese castella through Uber Eats, only to learn that they had run out of the item I requested. To make matters more difficult, a temporary power outage meant they weren’t sure when a new batch could be made.
Despite the circumstances, the owner went above and beyond to make things right. He kindly offered to send me two complimentary items if I chose an alternative order. To my surprise and delight, not only did he include two delicious complimentary treats, but he also added a coffee—completely free of charge.
It’s so rare these days to encounter such genuine care and outstanding customer service. This thoughtful gesture truly made my day and turned an inconvenience into a memorable experience. Thank you for going the extra mile—you’ve definitely earned a loyal customer!
