There was a Croutons on UCSD's campus about 11 years ago and when they got rid of it, I was gutted! I thought I lost my go-to spot for good, fresh salads, sandwiches, and ultimate favorite soup!
WRONG! I moved back up to LA/OC county and realized they have a location in Irvine! I missed it so much.
Their chicken wild rice soup is beyond great and so delicious! And their brownie bites are just to die for.
The service was very nice, even handling a lunch rush in Irvine's busy business area.
It's located in a center with other food options, and it looks to have plenty chairs and tables for seating.

Had a chopped salad. Not bad. Wish it was chopped a little more finely. Perhaps a little bit more dressing. Croutons were a bit too big and hard. But overall a decent salad.

great lunch food for the price. service is fast and the kitchen looks cleans. theres a courtyard with many tables you can get your food and sit at right outside the restaurant. will continue coming back unless food quality degrades.

New favorite spot to visit! Their menu options are fresh, healthy, and (most of all) delicious! The pricing is better than I was expecting walking in (half and half combo at 13 bucks) and the portions were larger than I was expecting too. Almost to the point where it was too much but not quite. Similar in theory to places like Panera or Mendocino but better than both, imo. Friendly service and clean dining area. Definitely plan to come back again and again.

The place is so so for me. It is pretty expensive but I guess what isn't these days. But my problem is the small portions. Definitely 1 sandwich isnt enough for a full grown man.

I live in Northern CA, but when I fly into John Wayne Airport, this is my go-to spot. We don’t have a Croutons in Nor Cal and I certainly wish we did. The BBQ chicken salad is always delicious and fresh. I will admit I have only tried a few things here, but it’s all been very good. And the staff have always been super friendly and helpful. This is a great spot with a lot of healthy options.

Visiting from TX- never been here, went one day- enjoyed it for lunch. It was a busy lunch, I come the next day and Vinny remembered me, and even knew what I ordered. I found this amazing and was so taken back that he remembered me. That was amazing. Vinny is awesome and he’s a valuable asset to any corporation

Went on a Friday, 10 minutes before closing. The cashier, who was a larger woman, was very unpleasant and impatient. It was almost as if we had arrived 10 minutes late? The food was okay. Kind of underseasoned.
