This is one of the best hidden gems for canto food. The service is amazing. The waitstaff is always friendly, honest, and provide excellent recommendations for food. Even when the restaurant was full, we were attended to promptly and our food came to us with little wait. The portion sizes are large and often we needed a take out container as we couldn’t finish everything in one sitting. Furthermore, there is a large selection of authentic canto food and drinks. Highly recommend visiting this spot for Hong Kong food, definitely will be visiting again.

My family and I visited Tasty Spot (formerly Delicious Corner) and the food was still good overall but not as good as when it first opened as Delicious Corner 2 or 3 years ago. The service is OK like before but the actual food quality has declined, e.g. the Three Delicacy Combination (roasted pork belly, char siew and roast duck) that cost $29 was a major disappointment. The meat was mediocre like 2-day old and the few slices of duck were mainly bone and skin with minimal meat. The wonton noodle soup was artificially flavored that tasted more like chicken waste broth. However, the beef brisket pot, tofu roast pork pot, fried green (or long) beans, fried noodles and Jasmine tea were excellent authentic HK type cuisine. Not shown here is the fried beef rice noodles, that was really good.
This is still the best Hong Kong style restaurant (or HK cafe) in Irvine. There's another one in Irvine called Tasty Garden on Culver Blvd that is not as good (actually seemed quite bad) in terms of food quality and service. I will go back to Tasty Spot again but will not ever get the Three Delicacy Combination that used to be the best (sadly).

This is our family’s favorite restaurant to go. Both of my young kids LOVE the food here. Very authentic Cantonese food and every dish is delicious.

We arrive at 10am, which is the opening time for this restaurant on google. Found out they are not open until 10:30am. However, even we come back later and order food. The server miss one of my order and did not tell us about that. We have to find another waiter to get the order right. After that we order more food, and they did not come and check whether are we okay with the food or needing anything else. But they clearly asked other elderly customers tables. The crew continuously chit chat within their group without helping the customer. I never experience this before. I always thought this is a good restaurant to bring people to eat. Nice food, clean environment. But apparently they did not appreciate customers as they used to. Sadly.

We’re lucky to have this gem in Irvine! My husband, who’s from Hong Kong and very picky about authentic Cantonese food, absolutely loves it here. We often come for breakfast—and their BBQ duck is a must: incredibly juicy and full of flavor!

Poor service. Food overpriced and not good. Should avoid restaurants like this one. Try other above 4stars at least.

Toddler friendly and super delicious Hong Kong style cafe food. My go-to: baked pork chop/ chicken rice, wonton noodle (for my little one), and lemon tea.
Tried their 鹹檸蜜 and steak with spaghetti- both also really good!
Wish they open one in San Diego

Went at 10:30 am on a weekday and had their breakfast special of congee, choice of fried noodles or 2 other options, and drink...reasonably priced for all it included. I had the beef congee, which had a mild ginger flavor with tender beef pieces and lettuce, which was a generous portion and good for the price. We were in the main room, so about 11 am, got a little noisy and crowded. Staff was helpful and professional. Had takeout of chive and shrimp har gow and shumai, which were both delicious but slightly expensive at $8.95.

This place has changed hands so many times, this time it's a lot less formal eating, more Sam Wu but less busy. Big menu so it will take a few visits to get through it and I'm up for that. Pricing was fine, service was fine, it's not a fancy place. The roasted ducks viewable in the lobby area took my eye for future takeout.
