great meal. but change the price few days ago, more expensive now.
Was gonna try this place but its impossible to see the menu... Too many other places to chose to deal with a lot of hoop jumping just to vieew menu
I love the food. Everything is great but I’m giving them 3 stars because the cook smokes in the back and the whole place smells like tabaco and cigarettes. He should be one kilometer away from the restaurant when he smokes.
Becareful! An employee in Ding's Garden is positive for Covid-19.
Great food, reasonable prices, and great flexible service. Support these guys!
I work here and by far the chillest place I've ever worked at
They handed me the wrong to-go order, and when I got home I noticed and brought it back. They did not let me keep the wrong order that they gave me even though I tipped them and I had already opened it, and it seemed as if they still intended to serve it to whoever ordered it. When I told them they should not serve it since I opened it they did not seem to care. They then gave me the correct order, but it was cold by the time I got it. Never coming here again.
Love their beef noodle soup!
I really try not to post scathing reviews but Ding’s Garden didn’t make it easy for me.A colleague of mine came here with me after work because we were too hungry to wait the 80-90 min at Din Tai Fung. Since I called the restaurant and confirmed it wasn’t too busy, I figured it would be worth a shot. Big mistake...For starters, the service could be better. Like way better. I get that they likely employed a lot of UCI students that couldn’t care less about their job, but when it’s a slow day and I am pointing to the menu, I’m not sure how you could possibly get my order wrong....I think the best way I can pretty much sum up my meal is that this place was SURPRISING. Surprising as in I didn’t think they could possibly disappoint me more but with each dish that came out I was honestly impressed by the fact that they were more saddening than the last:- DRY NOODLES WITH PORK AND PICKLED GREENS — do you remember those days when you were balling on a budget in college and thought you were a master chef for fancying up your Top Ramen with vegetables and some meat? This is literally what it tasted like. Only difference is that my fancy top ramen would have definitely tasted better than this.- XIAO LONG BAO — now how are you honestly going to sell a soup dumpling and NOT give us spoons? Well, I guess just by judging how the xlb even came out you could tell you weren’t going to get any soup from them anyway... You should definitely get this dish if you just want to eat a mouthful of dumpling skin with a smidge of pork because the soup was all dried up!- LEEK & PORK DUMPLING — now this was arguably the best out of the 3 that we tried but not by much. If you want to have good dumplings, you could probably just go to the grocery store in the frozen section and the dumplings sold in a bag are way better than these. Also, can we talk about how depressing the plate presentation was for this dish? I mean cmon, when I eat my dumplings at home I at least have the decency to make it look good. This just looked like someone threw the dumplings and decided to hand it out to someone because they didn’t think anybody would care what it looked like.- Matcha smoothie and boba — wasn’t terrible and it was probably the only thing I really liked from this menu.—Overall, I would genuinely skip this place. Some reviews have good ratings but I wouldn’t give this a second chance, especially knowing that there are better restaurants out there that you could put your money towards.
Down home legit Chinese food

This place is decent.. small place so you might need to wait.

Solid place for beef noodle soup. Also to get your juicy dumplings fix.
Came here at 1pm. There's only 3 tables and each with one person. They told us to sit the middle row sit the small tables, we asked if we can sit the booth since there's are no ppl waiting to be seated (and the restaurant seems very slow). The chef order for us, the waiter came with food and told us he will refuse service us if next time we don't do the table they assigned. And the waiter and the waitress keep gossip at the back abt it, plus they came with wrong drink and no apology. I don't really have appetite to eat at all. Bty they put personal belongs (a drink and a purple headphone) at a 4 ppl table next to the register..... I should take more pics
After a whole year of looking for good boba in Orange County, this makes the top of the list and is, perhaps, the best in Irvine.
