We stopped by Dots Cupcakes with my wife and kids after hours, and the owner was unbelievably kind when she saw our daughter and decided to stay open just to make us a few extra cupcakes. That level of care and generosity really stood out and made the whole experience special for our family. The service was warm, friendly, and incredibly thoughtful. On top of that, the cupcakes were absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back.

Great Atmosphere! Has an upbeat vibe with good music. Great cupcake options with fun designs. The cupcakes are not too sweet, and the frosting is very smooth and creamy. Perfect spot for a Coffee and cupcake.

Owners don’t take their business seriously. There’s usually a teenage boy working there who clearly is related to the owner/a family friend and doesn’t want to be there. The cupcakes are always out of stock and old, even when you come first thing in the morning. And forget about getting coffee, as the machine is always down. That’s if they’re even open. I’ve tried to come in on three separate occasions during normal business hours to find a note on the door saying they’re closed for the rest of the day or for several hours of the day. They’ll still accept pick up orders even when they’re out of stock on a cupcake or closed for no reason in the middle of the day, and they won’t contact you or refund you. The business operates as if it’s on its last leg. If they’re not going to put energy into their Irvine location because they’re too busy with their Pasadena location, they should just close this one down rather than deliver bad service and a bad product

Yesterday I visited Dots to grab some cupcakes for my fiancées birthday. I usually don't leave reviews but I was really pleased with my visit! The interior is modern, clean and has a good atmosphere. The customer service was amazing and Isabella went out of her way to help me decide on some flavors and give me information on custom orders. The cupcakes were great and I'll definitely visit again.

Young blonde man at the counter Sunday the 26th was absolutely unfriendly, monoToned and before we can even get a word out “ we’re already sold out of some stuff” no hello, no welcome, no good morning absolutely no greeting.
Not sure if he just needs people skills or customer service training but we won’t be going back.
