Been grabbing chicken from here since it is closer than bon Chon, I have been going since they first opened. From a flavor stand point they are great, however portions have gotten smaller compared to when they first opened. Also, I always go into a sleep coma after I eat each time, how much msg are you guys adding????

I've had me some fine unforgettable Korean fried chicken. But that was about 20 years ago on a spring break trip to New York, when the booze was overflowing, the legs we're movin left and right to the beat and Pink Berry was in. That place was called Bonchon Chicken. Short lived for only a few years. Every trip I made to NYC after that initial bite, was sad and shadowed by the fact that rent in that City is expensive, the original Bonchon Chicken closed. A new contemporary look a like one replaced it. But the chicken sucks and isn't the same. Since then, I've searched North and South, West and East for a replacement of that crisp, sweet and juicy chicken experience I had at Bonchon. But nothing out there exists. Until now.... I walked into Zion Market looking for Paris Baguette. I needed some Japanese Egg Salad sandwich. Walking thru the mini food cart, I couldn't but help to notice the long line of people and heavy fryer line up of chicken being dropped and pulled constantly. I decided to stop and place a small order. I was hesitant, but my gut was humming. I ordered the Sweet and Spicy chicken and I also ordered the Soy and Garlic. Holly Chicken Batman! The first bite I took was ferocious. The crisp crunch broke thru the surface and into a super juicy meaty inside. It wasn't dry meat, it wasn't soggy and soft batter...it was double fried the way it should be. It was battered over night and pre-prepped like it should be, to tenderize the juicy meat. It was done right. I had this DejaVu of my intoxicated self in NYC 20 years back. But this was around the corner. It was legit, it was real chicken and it was full of flavor. I'm hooked. The Soy and Garlic is incredible good. I've tried every flavor on the menu. Everything is good. It's a matter of what your in the mood for. Don't order anything without getting the sweet radishes and sweet jalapeños. You won't be disappointed. Bonchon gone, Hi to Furai. PS: The guys working there are excellent to. Customer service and urgency on point. They're always busy, so expect the long wait.

Located inside Zion Market, on your left when you walk into the store. Call in your order ahead of time! You're going to wait pretty much no matter what time of the day you go. But don't let this deter you from trying Furai Chicken, delicious super crispy Korean fried chicken. Whether you prefer it as fried chicken or wings, you can do either or both, with a variety of sauces and dips to choose from. Way better than Bonchon in my opinion!

Hands down favorite Korean fried chicken of all time. Seriously beats out all the fried chicken spots in LA. While I may enjoy the sauces of other places more..the fried chicken here is just so crispy without being over battered. This spot gets all the stars

Hella fire chicken here!!! Super fResh. Nice guys that work here, customer service is great. Food was nice and fresh!!! The chicKen was crispy and delicious! My favorite part was their sweet and chili sauce! I was literally dipping my finger into it and eating it straight like that. That's how good it was.

Parking can be hard to find as with most parking lots outside of an Asian supermarket. Furai Chicken is located in the food court on the left side of the supermarket when you walk in. There are tables you can sit down and eat at as well. Food-wise, I've only ever had the soy garlic chicken here but it is AMAZING. I literally crave this ALL the time. It's perfectly crisped and flavored. BUT if you are buying in the evening time, call ahead to make sure their chicken hasn't sold out!

Definitely 5 stars! The fried chickens are really really delicious! Personally, my favorite is chicken wing with sweet and spicy sauce on it! Sooooo good! Definitely recommend! I don't like eating big chunk chicken, that is why I order wings only all the time. Actually, if you order the wings, you can get 2 or 3 extra wings. For example, if you order 10 or 20 pieces chicken wings, you can get 12 or 22 pieces in fact Moreover, rice cake is good too!

The positive reviews of this place is legit - hands down my favorite fried chicken place. Deliciously crunchy and not feeling too oily. I ordered their half size original furai chicken with sweet soy as the side sauce to-go. They fry it fresh and so the chicken stayed hot and crispy by the time I got home and I warmed the sauce in the microwave because it comes cold. I air-fried my leftover the next day and it came back super crispy! I'm so glad this place is in Irvine and for the quality and amount you get, its definitely cheaper than the fast food chains like KFC and jollibee. I would say I like this fried chicken over Chan Chan and they offer more sauce choices!

If you are doing doordash just don’t take it from here. Because that people’s before Me got their food and they tell me to wait 35 min. And guy in their he is little bit old he is so rude. And plus they waisted my whole time and it is so slow even their only like 5 people. And they don’t do nothing. My recommendation is not take any order from their even you like their. If you don’t want to wait a hour in their

"Everyone loves fried chicken, Don't ever make it. Ever. Buy it from a place that makes good fried chicken." --Nora Ephron You guys. This is a hidden fried chicken gem in the middle of a Korean supermarket. Some of the best damn fried chicken in the O.C. is in a tiny little food court inside a grocery store. Amazing. The skin is delightfully crunchy. The meat is ridiculously juicy. The service is really nice and knowledgeable. And I can't get enough of the pickled daikon side that comes with it! As for the sauces, we tried the "Sweet & Spicy" and "Smokey Soy". Both of them were too sweet for my liking but my hubby enjoyed them. I'll be sure to try different sauces next time we visit! Things to consider: They make it to order. You'll probably have to wait about 15 minutes for your order. Take a walk around the store. It'll be worth the wait. Very limited seating in the Zion food court. You'll get a seat if it's slow and if you're lucky. Just be prepared to get it to-go if necessary. Grab a drink from the market first. There is a wonderful selection of Korean drinks to try! I'm a big fan of the Corn Silk Tea!

Always crispy! My boyfriend and I typically tag team Zion market for two things: grocery and wings for lunch or dinner. While I shop, he places an order for 20 wings since they are made fresh to order. From order to in-hand, it takes roughly 20-30 minutes pending on how busy it is, but business it always bustling there! What we love is that it's always crispy and sauces are served on the side. Our favorite sauces are Sweet & Spicy, Smoked Soy and Garlic Jam. The garlic can be potent so a little goes a long way. Plus, every order comes with pickled radish and pickled jalapeno without having to ask. And if you're lazy to go there yourself, they are on Postmates! Such convenience!

One of the best Korean fried chicken in the area. The customer service is just phenomenal! It's in the food court area inside the market Zion on the left side. It does get busy and they do start crying the chicken as soon as you order so make sure you call ahead or place the order first before going grocery shopping. The sauces are amazing! My go-to sauces are the smoked soy and the garlic jam on the side to dip. Never had any issues with this place! Definitely recommend the wings!

So yummy and busy all the time. Make sure to call in your order one hour prior to pick up otherwise you'll be stuck waiting at the food court forever. I like the wings- super crispy with perfect amount of breading and the best sauces are smoked soy and the sweet/spicy one - the signature one.
