This and marafuku are my top ramen places in Irvine. Everything in the bowl is elevated and exceptional, great quality control and nice thick pieces of flavorful pork unlike most other traditional ramen spots that serve thin dry pork. The broth at times can seem a little too fatty/thick but that's a minor complaint. Also the indoor seating is very cramped and limited with reserved signs on all the tables, making you feel like you can't sit inside and have to use the outdoor seating only. As a ramen restaurant this is the opposite ambiance of what it should feel like.
One thing I want to bring up. The cashier lady there is very kind to inform us that they charged 10% service fee already and we do not need to tip. And if we don't want to pay service fee, they can take it out. I really like them being straightforward and considerate. And I like this system a lot.

Please fix your web site. I tried to order a pickup but it only shows other locations. I come and see people getting pick up orders all the time. Or is it a phone call order only?
Fun staff, nice outdoor location, fantastic broth, and chashu done well. This is about as good as it gets.

Delicious and consistently good for years. Love that they haven’t changed anything, why mess with perfection!? I like the vegan ramen best but add pork and eggs, it’s big enough for two meals.

On the back of the menu, it tells the story that they grow their own wheat and craft the ramen themselves. You can definitely tell the noodles were more chewy. We tried the Shoyu Ramen and the pork rice bowl, and both were delicious. The restaurant is tiny and there's limited indoor seating, but you can sit outdoor on a nice day. There's limited service, you just make your order at the counter, grab a number, and they will bring the food out to you.

Restaurantji Recommends
okay okay okay
so i work 80 hours a week so i only eat fast food to save time
im from a small town in minnesota so i normally just stick to like chipotle and things i know
after working near hironori for almost a year i finally got dragged a bowl by my friend who force fed me hironori
here are my notes
1. they have optional spicy sauce on the side, which was the spiciest food i’ve had in like a year. love 🔥
2. i didn’t feel like the staff hated me. this is common for some reason i go to restaurants and the employees are all like angry. meanwhile at hironori it was like new friends. such good vibes 😎
3. hiro nori gives me NO food poisoning, and despite the high spiciness, the food is REALLY VERY friendly to my stomach. zero pain or illness. Wow! magic. meanwhile other chains like buffalo wild wings, chipotle, mcdonald’s ALWAYS give me food poisoning. 🏥
4. HiroNori portion sizes are SUPER generous, always leaves me completely full, and if i didn’t leave a big tip it would be cheaper than anywhere else for a once daily meal. 🥘
5. the food itself is fresh and normal ingredients, rice and chicken for example, it doesn’t make me feel guilty for eating!! 🙏
healthy AND yummy AND cheap AND clean AND spicy (optional) ???!?! it’s like i died and went to food heaven. for real 😇 how is this even possible in irvine???
6. i think im in love with hironori craft ramen specifically the chicken bowl. i just filed paperwork for a divorce from chipotle ✌️
7. thank you so much for blessing me with this food 🤍
8. I go to fancy restaurants a lot and honestly the quality of my experience at this hironori chain was unironically better than some michelin star restaurants ive been to. ⭐️

Tried to order online, the checkout page didn't work so went toorder takeout in the store. Told the cashier about the online order experience, and he said they were having technical issue today.
Waited for 40min before got the food. During waiting, I went inside the store because it's cold outside. I was asked to wait outside. However, there is one caucasian lady waiting inside..
Finally got my order, but found out the lid was not properly placed, the soup was everywhere inside the bag when I got home.
In terms of the noodle itself, I ordered less salt, but got the regular level of salt (trust me you can tell the difference after eating 20+ bowls...)
Once I finished the salty ramen, I found out my credit card was charged for the unsuccessful attempt to order online... (contacted them and was able to get refund)
