This place is amazingly delicious. My absolute favorite are their Eel buns, and if Im a little extra hungry their spicy tuna on crispy rice is also amazing. I tried their ramen (seen in the pics) and jt was also great. Their service is wonderful-they just need a bigger space!

We used to come here every week. The service has declined over the last few months. The people working the register and staffing the front of house seem overwhelmed. They look confused by questions, and they half whisper their answers. Food also sometimes takes 30 minutes to come out -- obviously not acceptable for a ramen joint. They also claim they are adding a 10% service charge, but it has increased to almost 12% without notifying customers. We were okay with that service charge when service was good, but now the service is frustrating and slow. They used to come out to the outdoor tables to check on the meal, but that doesn't happen anymore. The food used to be good enough that we were still willing to tolerate the declining service, but the food has started to decrease in quality as well. This past Friday, our shoyu ramen came out without bamboo and with tough-as-leather chashu. We requested a side of bamboo, and it took 10 minutes for them to bring it out. Finally, we all got sick after the meal. We will not be returning.

If I could give this restaurant more than five stars, I would! I would I’ve been a regular for a few months now. I always order the same thing~a chicken and rice bowl- and it hits every single time. The service is always fast, even on busy nights. You can see how hard the staff are working when you walk in. When I had an issue with an Uber eats delivery, the restaurant manager Tomas was really kind and helped me out! This Hiro Nori location will always have a special place in my heart! 10/10

Small seating area inside but large patio seating area outside, ramen is really good, lots of toppings to customize with, surprisingly good vegan broth as well, really can't go wrong with hironori

Dinner rush, I arrive to retrieve my take out and they tell me it's going to be another 15 mins. I notice only one cook working. 15 mins later I see the 2nd cook return from break. Another 7 mins later my food is finally ready. They can't accomodate a dozen or so dine in customers. It's ramen. You boil noodles, prep toppings, pour broth.

I’ve been coming to Nori for years and usually enjoy the experience. However, on Sep 21 during opening, the cashier who took my order seemed like she really needs more training. I don’t expect world-class service, but a basic, welcoming greeting makes a big difference. The way she interacted with customers came across as unprofessional and unwelcoming. If someone doesn’t want to be here working, it really shows.

Way too salty. Flavor is good, but wow the broth is super salty. Would not come again. Not cheap either

Honestly, the food is good and tastes amazing. But on the other hand, the service was horrible. We ordered first when the opened after the 1 and a half hour lunch break and when we sat down. We waited for 25 minutes. Already 5 people that ordered after us got all their food. We had to wait about 30 minutes and the staff kept saying that they were bagging it up every time we asked and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t take 10 minutes to bag up food.

Delicious ramen and pork buns! Very inexpensive and high quality meal. Love the story behind Hiro & Nori posted on the front glass. Fast, easy counter service with friendly staff. I will definitely be back.

The meat of my Tonkotsu the tasted a little sour. Had a diarrhea after getting home and a headache followed. Beware

This and marafuku are my top ramen places in Irvine. Everything in the bowl is elevated and exceptional, great quality control and nice thick pieces of flavorful pork unlike most other traditional ramen spots that serve thin dry pork. The broth at times can seem a little too fatty/thick but that's a minor complaint. Also the indoor seating is very cramped and limited with reserved signs on all the tables, making you feel like you can't sit inside and have to use the outdoor seating only. As a ramen restaurant this is the opposite ambiance of what it should feel like.
One thing I want to bring up. The cashier lady there is very kind to inform us that they charged 10% service fee already and we do not need to tip. And if we don't want to pay service fee, they can take it out. I really like them being straightforward and considerate. And I like this system a lot.

Please fix your web site. I tried to order a pickup but it only shows other locations. I come and see people getting pick up orders all the time. Or is it a phone call order only?
Fun staff, nice outdoor location, fantastic broth, and chashu done well. This is about as good as it gets.
