Hive and Honey Rooftop Bar

We were staying at the hotel and wanted to check out the roof top bar. We ended up at the hotel unexpectedly because our VRBO cancelled on us. First, this bar experience clogs up the elevators for the hotel as they take over one of three elevators. You can only enter the bar through one elevator which is monitored, at least in the evening. You can go up with reservations, but you aren't guaranteed a spot. The hostess was helpful, but my husband was not happy that they didn't reserve space for people staying at the hotel. We were approached by a person in charge saying she heard we weren't happy about something. We never asked to talk to someone in charge or a manager. Instead this person approached us defensively and unnecessarily. That encounter alone gave us a bad feel about the place. The menu is undesirable and expensive. There were so many spaces that were unused but reserved or needed to be cleaned - more people could have enjoyed the spaces but were unable to. We were told we could sit at the bar but we witnessed chairs being removed from the bar and it is a small bar space, but sure where people are supposed to sit. We had one overpriced drink each and left. We told others not to bother checking it out and we won't be going back any time soon. Very disappointing.

Why sit us if you can't provide service?
This is hands down the worst service and food I have ever been to. We waited to order (over 15 min) ..had to hail someone down. We waited to for our food (over 20 min).. again had to ask the hostess about our food since we couldn't locate our waiter. and the place was relatively empty - maybe 4 tables out of 30 tables.

When our food arrived, my salad was terribly over salted and my friend's food which should have been served hot was cold, making us wonder if it was just sitting in the kitchen. My salad and a glass of champagne cost $40 and I had to go buy lunch somewhere else since I couldn't eat my food.
I would give a zero star but they don't have that option.

First this review is something that I usually don’t do, with that being said our first experience was 2 years ago at this roof top bar we had a pretty harsh experience, didn’t post nothing … 2 years later things have changed so why not give it a try. This review is only for the front end hostess at the time/ wearing cargo type pants , not our server… with that being said the hostess was polite at first even told us what spot to sit at, went great after we have a server come to us great by the way tells us what we want and proceeded to take order ——- This is when everything went side ways the hostess short Latina little bit on the bigger side comes to us and says if you guys need to order please go to bar for food and drink( why give us a menu have us sit but still need to go to bar to order) . Ok at that point I hear her not a problem, my wife has a hard time hearing at the moment due to ear issues my wife asked her what was that we didn’t hear you.. the hostess once again not our order taker but was guarding the entry to the place once getting off the elevator proceeded to say in a very sarcastic inappropriate way very slowly to my wife the same thing IF YOU WANT TO ORDER FOOD OR DRINKS GO TO BAR, As if talking to a child with a heavy accent as well.. which caught us off guard. I believe this bar up top has great potential but unfortunately it’s seems to be ran by very young crowd. Management should look into this .. or have a talk with the lady only short Latina a little on the bigger side. And to make it clear I’m Latino so no racism is being thrown here. But she really needs to work on her customer service skills, once again our server was great, but the lady that sat us and showed us the table wearing cargo type pants was horrible- and accent

Besides that the calamari was good drinks good and bars tenders great, Our server was great as well ate had one drink and decided to go to bar downstairs.

Came here last night. My biggest complaint was the food portions. I ordered an appetizer cheese nacho with chorizo. They litterly put half a scoop of chorizo with watered down cheese. It's definitely a 2/10 rating. For dinner, I ordered their Carne asada burrito for $20 bucks. I got a kid size burrito that I ate in 5 bites. The waitress said they ran out of beans, so she said I could get rice instead. They literally put the smallest rice portion I have ever seen so pathetic, lol. I ate the rice in two spoon bites. The beef was also bad grade quality. It's definitely a 3/10 food experience. If you're looking for good Mexican quality food, don't come here.

It seems like all the bees 🐝 have flown away! Hive and Honey is not what it used to be drinks are expensive and contain 95% percent juice to 5% alcohol, very watered down, no need to worry about getting drunk here. Best to sneak in a little extra tequila!!! Also dj’s don’t take requests and don’t know how to keep people on dance floor. If you want any service,, which is very limited it’s best to go order at bar otherwise you will be waiting a long time.

Young lively crowd. Music was a little too loud but great play list. Great view from the rooftop. Nice place to grab a drink but the food menu is lacking.

None of the heaters worked. The server forgot our orders multiple times. Some items on the bill were differently priced from the menu. The view was not impressive at all. Table was not clean.

Cute place for food and drinks to watch the sunset!

NEVER GO THERE! We made a reservation 3 days in advance, but when we arrived ON TIME, they said there was NO table available and only offered us a corner spot with NO view!This is an outdoor bar known for its view, so after making a reservation in advance and still being given a small corner spot with NO view, I wonder what the point was. I wish we had just gone to any random bar by the street.

We ordered cocktails, but they never arrived; only the food was served. This is a bar! But we waited nearly 1 hour with NO cocktail we ordered! The server never came until we finished all the food. During that time, I noticed there were 2 available tables with views (I’m not sure if they were empty from the beginning or became available later. If the tables were empty from the start and they still lied to us, I wonder if they are racist). We wanted to change seats to one of those tables, but NO server ever came as I just mentioned. We were so disappointed that we decided not to remind them about the cocktails we ordered and left. By the way, I noticed they didn’t check every customer’s ID; some guests just walked in directly. I'm not sure if this is related to skin color. NEVER GO THERE!

My first time going, also on a Saturday night and the place was busy, lively, and had a great vibe! Food was great, service was a bit backed up but it was a weekend so completely understandable. Friendly staff, drinks were good and the music was upbeat! All great things I expected from this place and every box was checked marked! Will definitely throw this into an outing routine for the weekends!
