Ordered a large bowl of ramen to share with my toddler. Requested the cashier to provide me with another bowl. Very simple request, but was refused flatly by the store manager (Masa). I guess it would be alright if they were apologetic about their “policy”, but they literally were about to punch me in my face when I questioned about their “one ramen one bowl” policy.
Went to the udon stall (Misasa) just next to it, and the gentleman gladly handed me one without a question when I shared that the ramen stall refused to provide us with one. Hadn't been here in a long while. They have toroniku curry ramen right now. Spicy, but not too spicy, and very good! Old favorites like the sake ikura bowl and shio ramen were also very good.

The waitress there were so mean and NOT helpful at all. I went there first time today asked what’s their popular dishes, they were cold. Also i ordered Miso soup, they gave me broth has NO ANY SALT in it, when i asked them to please give me some salt, that woman is so mean, didn't even want to give me or help me at all. I asked is their kitchen really doesn’t have any salt, she said no! And said we can give you soy sauce. I don’t like how cold her service is, seems care less about how you think or how you taste the food. If shes my employee, I’ll fire her in a second. Terrible service! Even i liked their Ramen, but i wont be back because of their unprofessional service. Wish they can have some better new waitress.
Haven’t been there for a while. The meat was cold and chewy (it tasted different from what I had before). The broth was al little oily. Other than that, everything was fine.

Love Santouka salt ramen, it's always a favorite comfort soup for the whole family. So happy that there is now a location in Irvine, so we don't have to drive to Costa Mesa and lately there is no wait.
