Ate dinner last night, family of 5. 4 family members ordered entrees from menu which included meat pizza, seafood spaghetti and fish dish ranging from $ 23 to $33 which seemed reasonable. 1 person ordered a very basic Alfredo pasta with grilled chicken which was off menu item. To our surprise the restaurant charged us ridiculous amount of $39 for a very basic pasta!!!! We complained to Manager Tanya who agreed this was crazy pricing but blamed the chef for this pricing and did not do anything to help us out except saying she will "help us with this issue next time". I read in other guest reviews that they say the same thing to other guest also by punting things off to "next time". I am writing this post to warn people to check pricing of items (even basic items like Alfredo pasta) if you order off the menu because the restaurant likes to stick it to you with overly inflated pricing. This kind of price gouging is shameful from such a reputable chain.

Had an excellent meal, as always. Food was well designed and prepared and enjoyed the different dishes from areas of Italy. My family has been coming to Il Fornaio since it opened and they have never disappointed.

II Fornaio continues to be consistent. Staff were appropriately attentive and responded to our requests for seating and food preparation. Disappointed that bread was served, and charged for without our request. Pear salad was especially good, and Cristina pizza is still a favorite.

Ate on the dining patio at sunset...it was so pleasant and a beautiful fall evening. Outdoor heaters are available if needed. Food is divine (carbonara, gnocchi and seafood pasta) and the cocktail list fun. Shared two desserts with my two friends and I highly recommend the dark chocolate gelato! Service is timely and food arrive hot or cold as demanded by the dish. Our server was very helpful in describing the menu and cocktail list. NO complaints.

Overall, this was just ok Italian food. The steak tartare was very expensive and more about the truffle oil and cheese than the beef. Gnocchi was tasty and light, but the pesto sauce was too heavy and one-note, and the lasagna was underwhelming. The special porcini ravioli was delicious. Nice atmosphere and attentive service, but we wouldn't go back for the food.

Chris was great but every other server mean mugged for no reason and when i asked for help everyone else basically ignored me. Chris was the only attentive one and he wasn't even my designated server.

We had a good time dining on Friday night except the service was slow due to servers understaff I believe then one of the managers I believe Tammy but not sure took over and made our experience great.

Great staff service. Manager came to our table and introduced himself to us. Provided a decanter for our bottle of wine.

I went for my husband birthday and the service was great food on point very authentic he loved the place so happy to celebrate there our server was very friendly patient and nice thanks again!!! ❤️

Their AC wasn't working properly so the 88 degree outside temperature was making the dinning area very uncomfortable. The appetizers very fine but for the main course we had a $75 steak that was thin even though I ordered it medium, it was over cooked. When I told our server about the issue and brought in the manager who apologized but never offered to redo it or take it off our bill. We will stop going there from now, and will look for another place for our monthly luncheon with our group.

Tonight, my wife and I had dinner at the restaurant. The good news is the food was good. However, when the bill came, the waiter gave me the electronic system to pay and provide a tip. The waiter hovered within a foot over me while I was paying the bill and providing the tip. This was completely inappropriate, and made me as a customer feel very uncomfortable when deciding what tip to leave. The appropriate procedure would’ve been to have left the electronic machine at the table so that I could decided the tip amount without the incredible pressure that the waiter provided. I will never go back. And I will tell everyone I know in my business Universe never to eat there because of this.
