We stopped by for a quick lunch and were initially hesitant due to the low ratings. However, the experience turned out to be quite good. We ordered the combination and spicy octopus hot stone bibimbap, both of which were excellent. While the food prices are relatively high, it might just be a reflection of current inflation. We enjoyed the ambience, and the service was standard. Overall, we liked this place and would consider stopping by again if we’re in the area.

We ordered delivery, and we were impressed with the quality and taste of the food. We had the soft tofu soups (the spice levels matched the descriptions), the galbitang, the seafood pancake. The kimchi was delicious as well.

Our family of 3 came by on a Sunday evening to try out this place. The place was clean, nothing fancy and nothing stands out but the choice of music was blahh. The food was average- I like the rice crust from these stone pot but at this place the rice was not crusty at all, no difference from rice cooked from home. The side dishes were so so but I like the fish better than other tofu houses that I have been to. Service was none, we had to flag down the waitress a few times to get our side dishes refilled. Shortly after our meal was served the waiter just walked by and left the bill on the table and walked away without saying a word. I could have Uber Eat this meal with a better experience. We won't be coming back.

From my experience the beef tofu soup is very underwhelming. Last week I grabbed a diy package of soon tofu soup (tofu and soup base packet) for $4 from zion market next door and I thought that tasted better than the tofu soup I got at this restaurant. If the tofu soup was $8 to $10 then I think it would be reasonable for the price, but at $20 it feels way way overpriced.

The atmosphere was good and the sides were all good as well.

The employees were so rude! They practically slammed our dishes onto the table while muttering in Korean! If you have signs all over your restaurant asking for positive reviews and offering free drinks, why not begin with basic customer service skills? It was so awkward! I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone!

They charge you premium with regular food while the service is next to non-existent. A tofu pot for 20? Even irvine in 2024 is surprised.

Here is the reason I rated one star. My wife and I always like Korean tofu hot pot. We been many similar restaurants. This restaurant has a policy very stingy. We ordered one combo which has hot pot and beef dish so technically two dishes. The waitress was friendly for the first 30 seconds but soon as she heard we only ordered one, she immediately changed the attitude. She didn't even wait until I finished my sentence. She just walked away. Then she came back and told us because we ordered one item from the menu. The side dishes are not refillable. I don't really care about a side dish but this is the only tofu house that has this policy. Regardless of what the customers order and how many they order you should treat them the same. I will never go back to this restaurant again. It is okay to watch what you are spending as business. It is not okay to be stingy towards your customers.

First time I’ve seen a restaurant go downhill so fast. We had such a wonderful experience during their soft opening - the food was delicious and the service was great. It reminded me of Kaju or BCD from 20 years ago. But recently we went and the utensils were so dirty and the banchan was completely different from before. Gochugaru was stuck on the cups and the staff seemed very annoyed. Pretty disappointing

Came and waited for a table and the waitress kept making us wait and kept seating parties ahead of us and just apologizing and letting other parties ahead of us get seated.

Came for dinner on a Wednesday night around 7 and we waited less than 10 minutes to be seated. Conveniently located walking distance to Zion if you need to do any shopping afterwards. Interior is clean and neat. Our family of 5 sat in a booth. They provided utensils and water right away. They gave us a new bottle of water too before we asked when we placed the empty one on the edge of the table. Almost right after we ordered the ban chan came out followed by the stone pot rice for the soft tofu soups we ordered.

My favorite part was the ban chan- they had a different selection of what I’m used to eating and everything was tasty. You could taste the sugar/sweetener in most of the side dishes which probably explains the tastiness. My favorites were soy braised peppers with potatoes and tteokbokki. The ban chan they served: vegetable pancake, tteokbokki (spicy ricecake), japchae (glass noodles), spicy spinach, soy braised potatoes with peppers, bean sprouts, kimchi, and Cheongpomuk (mung bean jelly with soy sauce). The braised potato dish also has seasoned quail egg which my son love! They also refill any of the ban chan on request.
We ordered:
1. Mixed, Beef, and Dumpling tofu soups. All soups come with an egg, fried fish, and stone pot white rice. They make sungnyung by pouring bori cha (barley water/tea) over the rice stuck at the bottom of the stone pot. I had some and it was pretty tasty.
2. Got a combination meal of the marinated beef ribs and vegetable tofu soup. The combos have a smaller bowl.
3. Kids tofu soup which is for age 7 or less. Came with white tofu soup, kkakdugi (radish kimchi), 3 small fried dumplings, 2 rolled rice balls with sesame seeds and seaweed, and a very generous amount of japchae. The dumplings are small and look store bought frozen dumplings but they were good.

I had the dumpling tofu soup and it had the same dumplings as the kids meal. Small dumplings- maybe 5 or 6 in my meal. There was a very generous amount of tofu in the soup. I couldn’t finish everything. Soup is definitely brought out hot enough to cook the egg to the desired consistency. Soup was not completely bland but also not the most flavorful I’ve had.

Service was excellent! They were available to provide us what we needed even during the weekend dinner rush with all tables full inside.

I enjoyed it. There were a lot of side dishes and they were all delicious. It was especially nice to have tteokbokki, which kids love. I think they use good rice. Unlike other restaurants, the rice was sticky and shiny.
