I came into this place almost every morning before work as a rideshare driver for nearly a year but decided I’m not coming back because the manager Thomas is just so rude, it’s honestly uncomfortable and not worth it. It’s not that he says anything mean, it’s that he interacts with customers, at least in my experience, the way a sheriff interacts with inmates in a jail.

Super cold, never says hi, just makes the smoothie and hands it to you, no interaction, just ice cold the way a sheriff would hand a tray of food to an inmate. I’ll try to say hi when I’m leaving and he’s outside loading deliveries and he’ll just say nothing like you don’t exist, just super weird ice cold demeanor.

I’ve always been super polite, tipped the maximum 20% on every order to show support for the rest of the staff, all of whom are really nice and with whom I get along with just fine, but Thomas the manager is one of the most emotionally incompetent people I’ve ever met running a customer facing business.

No one’s expecting you to be super friendly and make conversation every time, but just be civil. Just be decent and give a simple hello, like the other employees do. Don’t make people uncomfortable by acting like a police officer when interacting with customers who are trying to support your business.

It’s just really bizarre. I don’t know if he’s on the spectrum and doesn’t even realize how rude he is due to some cognitive deficiency, or whether he just hates his life. Whatever the reason it’s just ridiculous. It’s so awkward it’s not even comfortable going there anymore.

The smoothies are ALWAYS great and consistent at Jamba but this specific location takes it to the next level with their service. Everyone happy looking, smiling, and available to help. Great manager with great training here, will for sure come back! ?

I don't feel like the staff knows what customer experience entails. They definitely could use a good training session. Such as a simple apology when they forgot part of my order.
