Don't make us wait to be seated when we advise the rest of our party is 15 minutes away also we had to be reseated 5 minutes after being seated due to past reservation
This was our first horrible experience with this restaurant. The server was extremely rude and did not provide the service we usually receive. Our food took over an hour to come out with tables next to us getting served first even with us there well before them. When asked for a bill just to leave the waiter blamed us for what we ordered. Definitely disappointed with the service considering the amount we paid.
Good quality food at high prices specially the drinks. Also the Chilean Sea Bass had some kind of very very very hot pepper as a garnish which damn near made my brother in-law spit out everything. Please either warn the guests of this or ask them if they prefer not to have it.
Excellent Customer Service. I made a reservation my table was ready. Juan was our waiter. Juan is quick and knowledge about the menu. We ordered some Margaritas they brought them quick. Compliments To the Chef and staff. If you haven't tired Javier's Salad I recommend it, and the cucumber Margarita.
We are massive Javier's fans, and frequent all the locations. But we went to Newport Saturday night, and found it to be a nightmare, unrelatable, and rude hosts. Disappointing, so much that we changed our reservations the next day when our sons were coming into town to Irvine location and it was awesome! Back to our expectations of Vegas, LA, and old Newport.
Can seat you until your thirds guest arrives. Two of the three are here and it’s an early dinner. Just seat us. It’s not like there was 8 people and only two of us showed up.
Everything was great or better than expected. My only two gripes would be the noise level, particularly on the patio and the mashed potatoes were overly salted and spicy. Yes, spicy! Other food was excellent, as was service. We loved The Black Mamba cocktail and would return again.
This place is awesome, it's decorated beautifully decoration make it seam elegant, the customer service is great everyone & I mean everyone is checking up on you. The food is huge and reasonably priced. We order the tablita omg!! It was so much food we had to take left overs. The chicken & carnitas were cooked to perfection so soft & moist. The only thing I recommend make the alcoholic beverages a little bigger for the price that you charge maybe just make them a tad bigger? I wish I had know when you go to the restroom there is a sweet lady who pours the hand soup on your hand & gives you a paper towel, she has a tip jar, I went in there with out my purse by the time I remember to go back & tip her I had left the place. Over all I do recommend this place. I will deff be back.
I reserved a table for 5 and told them it was for my wife's birthday lunch. Im not really sure if they take notes or read the reservation details but nothing special was done for our reservation or visit. Food was OK nothing great. I was expecting some acknowledgement or even a greeting for my wife's bday but nothing...I should have reserved a place that cares a little about their customers.
Javier's stands in a class of its own as a premier dining destination in Irvine. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a stunning and energetic atmosphere that signals you're in for a special experience. The ambiance is sophisticated and buzzing, making it the perfect backdrop for the incredible meal to come. It's a complete sensory experience, perfectly matched by the polished, attentive, and absolutely seamless service from the staff.
While the setting is a major draw, the food is truly the star of the show. This is elevated Mexican cuisine at its finest, with every dish crafted from high-quality ingredients and presented beautifully.
Our absolute favorite, and a must-order for anyone visiting, is the La Tablita for two. It’s an amazing shareable feast featuring perfectly grilled skirt steak and chicken served sizzling with all the accompaniments. It’s not just a meal, it’s an event on the table and the best way to experience the incredible flavors Javier's has to offer.
Consistently delivering on all fronts, Javier's is the complete package. The combination of a great atmosphere, amazing food, and impeccable service makes it our go-to for celebrations, date nights, or any time we want a guaranteed fantastic meal.

Service was incredible, atmosphere amazing, food was unbelievable. What a gem. Will bring everyone who comes to visit to Javier’s
Javier’s is always consistent in food, service and atmosphere! I’ve been to most of their locations from Newport to Irvine to Vegas at Aria. Always a fun time and a spicy marg or tamarindo is a must !
Love that place. Excellent food, service and ambiance
Food was great, but very expensive for what you're getting. Guacamole for $18 is some crazy work but it was fire
