I think this is my 2nd time here, and the food is fine. My review here is on the customer service and follow up. My family went and ordered 2 chicken plates to go, we opened them and ate them down the street at another restaurant where my son wanted to eat. We opened them up and realized we received one fish and one chicken plate, and the fish plate had a hair in it, I udnerstand it happens, but still gross.
I went back to the store to see if I could get my money back or something, since it's not what I ordered and there was a hair in it.
The cook and cashier tried to do something w/ the register but explained they can't do anything with the order since the owner wasn't there. No other attempt at helping me out here. They took my name and number down and promised the owner would call/text to help me out. It's been 4 days and no contact has been made. It's not about the money, but you would think if the restaurant made a mistake and said the owner would contact you, that would be a priority.
Needless to say, I don't plan on coming back here. Like I said, the food is fine, but ignoring a customer when they made a mistake and a hair in the food...

I literally LOVE katsu bar!!
I have been here over 6 times in the past year, and it's my go-to place for a katsu sando! I always bring my friends here when they visit, and they're never disappointed đ«¶
I HIGHLY recommend the pork katsu sando (it's actually juicier than the chicken; I ordered the chicken once and was kinda sad it wasn't as juicy as I was expecting). I've had every variety of the katsu sando, and they're all delicious !!!
đ„ My other go-to is the the egg sando! The eggs are perfectly seasoned, and the combination of mashed and sliced eggs come together for the perfect variety of textures in an egg sando đ„Ș
đThe katsu sandwich (cutlet on an artisanal burger bun rather than white bread) is my friend's go-to order and also really good! There's a higher carb-to-meat ratio, so it's good for when you want more carbs or are really hungry! The bread is perfectly toasted yet pillowy, and balances out the cutlet fantastically đ€€
đ I also love their gangjang chicken (you can tell by how many times it's featured) which reheats really well in both the microwave and the oven/airfyer!
đ Their strawberry sando is also DELICIOUS--a bit of a messy eat since the sandwiches are cut horizontally and not diagonally, but the cream is so thick and luscious, and the strawberries are somehow always perfectly ripe and just sweet yet tart enough to balance out the cream. An absolute must-try!!
The only item I don't absolutely love is the tteokbokki--it's on the sweeter side, which isn't my personal preference, but the texture is really chewy and has a slight crisp from being fried.
Overall, I REALLY recommend this place for anyone who loves katsu sandos !!

Kastu Bar â Great Vibes, Amazing Drinks & Must-Try Curry Soup
Kastu Bar is a fantastic spot with a modern, cozy vibe that makes it perfect for relaxing with friends or enjoying a casual night out. The drink menu is excellent, with well-crafted cocktails and plenty of choices for every taste.
One of the highlights here is their curry soup â surprisingly delicious and full of flavor. Itâs warm, comforting, and pairs perfectly with their drinks. Definitely a must-try item if youâre visiting.
The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes sure youâre well taken care of. Service is quick, and the atmosphere is always lively without being overwhelming. The place is clean, well maintained, and has a great energy overall.
A perfect spot for good drinks, great food, and an even better vibe.

Wow I can't believe I didn't come here sooner. I passed by so many times just thinking it's an ordinary katsu curry place. I ordered the Curry Katsu (spicy) and it was SO GOOD!! The Katsu itself was thin and crispy, and curry flavor was rich (reminds me of Vermont curry, which is my fav Japanese curry sauce), and they paired perfectly together.
The girl that took my order was very friendly. The food also came with macaroni salad and a cabbage salad, and they were both very good as well. I'll definitely be back soon!

Spent the day in Irvine with my siblings. Iâve seen this spot all over socials, so I was excited to take them here for lunch.
Parking: Free parking lot.
Ambiance/Environment: Itâs very clean inside. They have a small indoor space with limited seating. Thereâs plenty of outdoor seating. Thereâs two self ordering kiosk. Once you walk in, place your order, take a seat, and a worker will bring out your food to you.
Service: We didnât catch her name, but she was courteous and attentive. Throughput was under 10 minutes after ordering. She brought out our food and surprisingly knew where we sat.
Foods: We ordered all chicken Katsu!
1. Caprese Salad Katsu - If youâre going for something simple and light, then this is the dish for you. The sauce with the arugula was delicious. Theyâre generous with the Katsu, and the tomato and mozzarella were fresh.
2. Strawberry Sando - Perfect dessert to end off our lunch! It wasnât too sweet or heavy. The strawberries were fresh, and the cream was light.
3. Nashville Hot Chicken - The burger is big! My siblings and I looove the sauce! It was sweet then the spice creeps up on you during the aftertaste. The chicken was cooked well and seasoned perfectly. We also enjoyed the fries.
4. Katsu Plate - Another simple yet delicious dish. It came with a lot of Katsu, a scoop of rice, coleslaw, radish, and mac salad. We absolutely enjoyed this dish too!
5. Mala Ramen w/ Katsu - Wooo the Mala was spicyyy! Now this is what I call mala haha. The bowl was larger than expected. I appreciated the generous amount of Katsu and noodles given!
6. Yubu Pockets: buldak, egg salad, spicy tuna, bulgogi - These were over-filled to the top! It had a thin layer of tofu with rice on the bottom and filling on top.
7. Caprese Katsu Sando - The sandos were cut thin and filled with katsu and vegetables, and served with fries. This tasted like the other dishes but in a Sando.
Pricing: Definitely worth it! My siblings and I loved everything! Presentation and plating was on point.
