The food is really good. Just a heads up for spicy choices - they are HOT! My husband enjoyed all the dishes. We ordered the duck soup, fried rice with vegetables and beef with cilantro - all delicious! Service was courteous and friendly. Very helpful with first timers like us. The ambiance is quiet and relaxing.

I had an amazing meal at this Sichuan restaurant! The flavors were bold, authentic, and incredibly satisfying. Every dish had the perfect balance of spice, numbing heat, and rich aroma—exactly what you'd hope for from true Sichuan cuisine.

We haven't visited Kuan Zhai Alley since they opened a few years back, but we're so thankful to have made the return visit. Maybe it was the specific dishes we ordered, but we haven't enjoyed a Chinese meal this memorable in quite some time...and that's saying a lot with all the options in Irvine! The restaurant was packed when we arrived during the dinner hour, but we were seated at one of their few outdoor tables after a short wait.
