Botan Sushi is a cute place. It was well-lit and clean. The owner gave us complimentary coconut dessert that w delightful. We got the jalapeño bomb, Alaska roll and bento box.

I placed an order at 11:30 got there at 11:50 and waited till 12:15 for my order which is ridiculous. When I ate the sushi the fish tasted off it was not fresh at all . I feel like this place might shut down .

Service was fine. It was good for the fact that the place was empty. Its empty for good reason. Very meh sushi. Was expecting much better and unfortunately was disappointed.

Not called KY Sushi anymore, but Botan Sushi. They kept the same set-up and menu, but clearly the new management has no idea how this business work. I had been going there for 18 months at least once per week and had never to wait more than 15 minutes for my regular order. Today I placed my order in person, they said it would be a “few minutes”, but 40 minutes later I had to complain to get my order finally ready to go. They did not even offer any gesture to apologize and just said they had a big order from a table inside and needed to serve them first. In the meantime, people kept waiting for online orders not ready. When I told them they had just lost a regular client, they simply could not care less.
Finally, like al of this was not enough, I arrived at home to discover the order was wrong and they got me the wrong food. Went back, asked for full refund, they had me waiting 10 minutes to figure out how to do it, asked me to refund me in cash because they “could not find the transaction”, got me the money and then I when checked my card I saw they had refund me also in the card. I am an honest person so I went back again and gave them the cash back.
You would imagine that after I just saved them $117 they would at least offer me to redo fast my original order for free or something like that. Nope… 95 minutes after arriving there today I still have to go home and cook for me and my family.

Do yourselves a favor: find another place to eat at!

The sushi was delicious! However, service was not great. Looks like they are starting up so they’re trying to figure things out. The guy who and girl who took our order seemed very quiet and reserved, no smiles or a “you’re welcome”, at least with us. We asked for Ramen but then they didn’t have the one we wanted so we changed the type of ramen a few times, then took about 45 minutes. By that time we were done eating the sushi. I asked for straws two times before we got any. We had to decide to leave the ramen because it took close to an hour. I understand they are trying to figure things out but the customer service experience was not friendly either, it was awkward. Only one sweet older lady seemed apologetic about the situation when we got up to ask for the bill.

Was a to go place for me with good quality food! Now I think they’ve changed the chef, and also terrible service, felt discriminated and disappointed.

Came here twice and food is really good. Seems to be kind of quiet which is nice. Really liked the dinosaurian egg and Mars roll, might try the ramen next time. The sashimi was fresh and well prepared, which is super important! Recommend :)
