This is my absolute favorite place for jajangmyeon! I was craving food that tasted fresh and homemade during the lockdown and was so happy to discover Kyodong. Their black bean sauce is so delicious and flavorful and the meat in it is always tender. I always manage to finish my meal super quickly. Their fried pork with the sweet and sour sauce is also one of my favorite sides. The prices are also very fair. Would highly recommend!

The jjajangmyeon was definitely 10/10 for me!! One of the best around. The chicken had great flavor but ask for sauce on the side so it doesn’t get soggy!! Jjampong was also good! Portions are huge and the service is amazing! Definitely recommend.

I tried tonkatsu because it was a new start. It is very crispy and the quantity is very large. The sauce was a little too salty for my taste, but the taste was just right when I ate it with rice or salad. Best of all, it's nice to have a lot of salad, so you can eat it as a Keto meal.

Pretty pricey for fried rice but my daughter enjoyed it minus the authentic bean sauce. Place seems family run and they even bring you a free after meal coffee and snack for the kids. Someone else got the crispy chicken and that looked tasty. Will have to try next time.

Delicious jjajangmyeon! I'm relatively new to Irvine area and I've really only tried Chai Lan, as it's my wife's go-to place for affordable Korean black bean noodles.A friend took me here and I was impressed! While it's a tad more expensive than Chai Lan, I believe it's even just a partial step up in terms of taste. The sauce is super savory and has a boatload of onions and pork, and served over a hefty bed of bouncy noodles. Excellent eats, for sure!

Great Chinese Korean restaurant in Irvine.Black bean noodle is the way to go.I tried their jjambbong, as well, but the price is way too high.Black bean noodle is also reaching the max price here. I go here for the convenience. When u order gobBbagi, 2x portion of noodle, on black bean noodle, u gotta make sure to ask to give plenty of sauce. One time it came out too small sauce and had to bring it back to ask for more.

What a gem of a store. Gave this place a shot after finding it, and was very surprised. The value here is immense. Portions are large for the price, and the depth of flavor is amazing. Have a little patience with the owner and son, since English isn’t their first language, but communication is still clear. Complementary instant coffee is a nice touch as well.

I can't believe it took me so long to try this place... but I'm glad I finally did! This place is not fancy. You order and pay at the counter , get a pager, get paged, get your food, eat, and leave. Despite the no frill dining experience, this place is clean and efficient. I personally love casual dining where servers aren't waiting at your table. Many people seem to place their order over the phone for pickup, but we dined in today since I wanted to eat the soup noodle (Jjamppong) at the restaurant. We ordered the #1. Jjamppong ($14.99) and #3. Jjajangmyun ($11.99). They were both HUGE! I shared with my hubby and we had leftovers enough for a second lunch. I loved that they grilled the veggies that went into the Jjamppong because it gave it a smokey taste. There were plenty of seafood in the Jjamppong as well. The Jjajangmyun was delicious! I added vinegar and it elevated the taste of the noodles. It's hard to find prices like this for the portion you get. This place is one in my books for some delicious Jjamppong and Jjajangmyun!

Was really craving Korean food on a Friday night so I ordered from here using Doordash and WOWWWWW. I was pretty impressed!I ended up trying: Jjajangmyun (extra spicy), Tangsuyuk (Sweet and Sour Pork), and Fried Dumplings. OMG EVERYTHING WAS SO TASTY!Of the dishes, I LOVED the Jjajangmyun. I have been dying to try black bean nooles for forever and I am so happy that this was my first experience. I ordered mine extra spicy and it was sure was! It was the perfect amount of spice that made my tummy warm afterwards and had me strugglin just a tad bit. The noodles were wonderfully bouncy and thick. The black bean sauce was SO SAVORY and luscious. I was surprised at how light the black bean flavor was too. Even my fiance (who does not care for black beans) loved the sauce! I LOVE how the sauce coated the noodles too. SO GOOD AND SO COMFORTING! I will definitely order again. The Tangsuyuk was another fantastic dish! The sweet and sour sauce was PERFECTLY balanced (not too sweet, not too sour). It was also super thick and coated the pork perfectly. The pork was fried well and the batter itself was surprisingly light and not too oily. The Fried Dumplings were also yummy! The filling was moist, flavorful, and felt fresh. It also came with an dipping sauce on the side that I really enjoyed. I liked the contrast between the crispy wrapper on the outside and the soft meat filling on the inside. Overall, a great meal! I'd love to have more food from Kyodong Noodle again in the future!

DELICIOUS jjajangmyeon and tangsooyook combo! Highly recommend. I was craving this exact meal, and Kyodong hit the spot! Their menu pretty much specializes in this and jjamppong, so you know they know what they're doing. Tangsooyook was so crispy when we got it with sauce on the side. The noodles were very flavorful and had large portions-- we could have definitely shared between the 2 of us. Ordering at the front and the time that the food was ready were both very quick. It was self-seating and self-pickup at the front next to where you order.
