The food at good. However, the experience was disappointing. The young man at checkout was unfriendly, offering no smile, greeting, or thanks. Despite the cafe being empty, several tables were dirty, and staff made no effort to clean them.
Great food, but poor customer service. They need a lesson from Chick-fil-A on customer experience

This cafe is such a warm and cozy place! Their Croissant French Toast is a buttery, caramelized dream that’s absolutely unforgettable. The Chicken Pesto Prosciutto Sandwich is packed with bold, fresh flavors and paired with perfectly crusty bread. Also loved their creamy latte topped with sugar cane sprinkles—such a unique touch! To top it all off, the decadent Yule Log Chocolate Cake was the perfect indulgent treat. Amazing food, cozy ambiance, and fantastic service—I can’t wait to come back!

I had a lovely experience at this French-inspired bakery and café! The peppermint latte was a perfect blend of cozy and refreshing, ideal for the season. For lunch, I tried the salad and sandwich—both were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was charming, with a relaxed vibe and friendly service. A great spot for a quick bite or a leisurely break with a warm drink. Highly recommend!

Come on owners, a SF based French Bakery that doesn't bake their own bread? " Is this baked fresh everyday? No we get it from our vendor Wednesdays and Thursday. WTH? Amazon brings my packages in a day. The Bread was tasteless and Dry, the Chocolate chiop cookie was mediocre. This place is just a money grab.

They didn’t put ham in the Croque Monsieur…. A very sad looking sandwich for almost 15 bucks…

Excellent latte experience with beautiful latte art. Delicious croque madame and croque monsieur. Finally, I found a coffee shop that serves coffee in a cup and not in a cup with a lid.

The overall experience was positive with such a warm welcoming & cozy feeling in environment with the staff putting their compassion into preparing French Dip which they were so kind to put arugula & other condiments on the side along with using Swiss Cheese instead of Provolone ... It was obvious that La Boulangerie San Francisco had a special energy of Love and the meal was exceptionally delicious ! It was refreshing with being treated like a human instead of just a customer , staff were so personable & friendly ...thanks for being an XTRA brightness in my Day !

The employee wouldn’t let me in the store at 12:57pm when it clearly shows on their wall they are open everyday until 3pm. All I wanted to do was grab something from their fridge section so it’s not like I needed to order anything (heaven forbid if I did).[Revised: 2:07pm, April 21] Terrible service is one thing, but lying now is completely uncalled for. The business claims the whole plaza was out of service, hence they did not let me in. Here's my receipt from Ralphs at 1:03pm, which is clearly part of the same plaza. Btw, how is it possible that an Irvine Company complex does not have a generator? Good try La Boulangerie, but think of a better lie next time.
