The Banana Cream Matcha is the best, we come here once a week just for it!

The smoked salmon sando was incredible. Perfect serving size. We also tried the banana cream matcha and the strawberry Sakura latte, both of which were incredible. The thick foam on top of both prilovided incredible texture, and a bit of saltiness to offset the sweet beverages. There is very little space to sit inside, so be prepared for more of a pick up and go experience.

Don’t come here if you have a 15 min break. Doesn’t matter if you’re first when open. You’ll be late. Matcha drinker sucks.

Got the banana matcha and 2 onigiri. The service was fantastic the atmosphere is very cute. The inside is small though, only 2 tables. Will be going back! the matcha was incredible!

Best banana cream Matcha I’ve ever had by a mile. I ate all the ice just so I can get some of the flavoring.

Excited to come back here all the way from Pasadena . Arrived at 2:30pm, most of their food is sold out. I just ordered a drink my favorite sea salt matcha cold brew. They put so much coffee and barely any sea salt matcha which is my favorite part . The girls who worked there look very careless with the drink when they made it . I will not come back here again because it is far from me and I was very disappointed with their service and drink quality this time .

Review based on the onigiri only, didn’t manage to get a drink. Seems like their sea salt drink series does well!

FOOD 3/5
Pepper Cha-Shu Onigiri (SPICY) and And Salmon Onigiri - Was sold out
Mentai Mayo and Yamitsuki Onigiri - quality rice but just didn’t hit the mark for me but it could be because it wasn’t eaten immediately.

PARKING 4/5
Good size work complex parking lot with tons of parking, then again I came on a weekend when everything was closed

AMBIENCE 4/5
It’s tiny, literally two small tables inside for sitting and everything else you need to grab and go

Lagu is one of our favorite neighborhood cafés. Everything I’ve tried has been a hit, and their banana creme matcha latte is an absolute treat. The food is just as delicious. The space is small with very limited seating (for dine-in), making it more of a grab-and-go spot. Online order is also available.

I would say the cream tops are pretty good. tried rose and banana.

Coffee itself is a bit blend. Wish they can improve the quality of latte.

There are only two tables inside so pretty crowded but customers in line and waiting are all organized. good vibe!

We ordered the onigiri, a matcha specialty latte, and a normal latte. The quality of the onigiri was horrible. The rice was very dry and crumpled in your hands the smell of the seaweed was so fishy and pungent. The matcha used is low quality. You can tell because it’s very pale green and has a bitter aftertaste. The latte we ordered was super watered down and tasted like the beans were old or just poor quality. Really disappointed with this place as the prices are a bit steep for the quality of food you are getting.

Lagu cafe is the best matcha place I’ve ever had!! (And I go to a lot of matcha places.) Their service is so good and it’s always busy because of how good their food is! I recommend.❤️

OC Reviews

Came here because they use rolls from Okayama Kobo for sandwiches. The onigiri is really good and the rice has perfect texture. The sandwich was ok but the bread was not as soft and fresh like the bakery. The matcha drinks were good just like the bakery. Only problem is the high prices for all items, so probably good to try once but not worth to come back. I think if they include bakery items like the Anaheim location, it would attract more customers.

The bread on the sandwich was delicious and very soft. I liked the smoked salmon sandwich. The pork belly rice ball was pretty good. Salmon rice ball was not… the salmon wasn’t really salmon. It had the consistency of ground up salmon. Overall pretty decent spot.
