I didn't even know this location closed (I haven't been checking my emails). I love this location!This was my go-to whenever my family comes to Irvine. Their boba here is really great, and they have a lot of options too! DJ Lollicup - you WILL be missed

Is Lollicup closing? I just got an email from them this morning (see attached picture) saying they are closing immediately. What about people who bought Juicy packs? What about all the points we racked up? What happens now to the employees who were beyond helpful? I have so many questions:(

I loved going to this Lollicup because they have the rewards system in place and always had great deals happening every week. So sad that they announced permanent closure this morning.

Just got the email they are closing. Bought 2 of the $100 gift cards during the promo when the gave away the watch and TV. Still have one I haven't used yet. I was just there Saturday and they were open, no signs about closing up Monday. I got the email today about the closure. Too bad I was looking forward to getting the new coffee drink next weekend.

This place is next to 85C and close to the parking structure. If I'm in the mood for boba after a nice meal at Diamond Jamboree, this is where I'd go. It's decent price for what you get.

Yummy boba. Refreshing tea. Just the right sweetness. Ordered and the tea came out pretty quickly. It's also nice that you could probably reuse the cup later if you wanted. Would come again:)

Wow, I can't believe Lollicup Diamond Jamboree has been open for over 10 years and I never wrote a review! If my memory serves me right, I think Lollicup DJ is probably where I had my first real boba experience, or maybe just the best of the first. I had to admit when I'd first tried boba, I didn't quite get what the big deal was about chewy balls and was a little confused as to what milk tea was (hey, not my fault, and also once I tried to order almond milk tea and the worker told me they only had milk tea or almond milk, so I ended up with a big cup of basic almond milk, haha). Anyway...I wanted to be part of the Asian gang gang so I kept an open mind and tried boba drinks wherever and whenever I could. Lollicup DJ reminds me of the days when I used to live in west Irvine and always took the 405 to work in Costa Mesa, so I often stopped by. I recently went and was impressed by how much this location has upped its game! I didn't remember the boba being this good: sweet, soft, chewy with a little bounce back when you bite into it. It was perfect. I had the Tiger Balm, which is one of their newer drinks and is a caffeine free, fresh milk drink drizzled with brown sugar syrup and a mix of regular and mini size boba pearls. It was delicious and definitely sets the standard for fresh boba and quality drinks.

The drinks also came labeled with a cute tag they put around the cup. We got a Mango Melon, Best Friend, and Bombsquad with blueberry. The bomb squad is unique in that you can choose 2 flavors of fruit teas to mix.
The boba was a perfect consistency, the milk tea was yummy, and best of all, they didn't go hard on overfilling the ice.

Really good boba. I love the taro milk tea with mini boba. Plus really liking the cups they started handing out. It's reusable and can be used and helps save the environment!!

One of my favorite places for boba. The fruit teas are a personal favorite, but I also tried their Tiger Bomb Coffee recently and it's very bold and creamy.

I'm not sure if the boba I got was just a specialty drink, but I didn't like it. Tasted like a frappachino and was overly sweet and I had to throw it away. I'd be willing to give them another try if they have any use a plain not very sweet black tea boba.
