Honestly SO disappointing -_- I've never had such bad ramen, anything comparable to this that I can recall is this $10 ramen I had at a late night chain. But what's even worse is this meal costed me $26 . The broth is alright but the noodles literally were SO thin AND it was sticking together too. The chicken karaage was also extremely DRY and CRUSTY. It was super sus that the meals came out in 2 mins, obviously things were premade and not very fresh... I could've gotten hironori with this money instead, so much more worth... the ONLYYYY good thing about this place is its decoration and their customer service. NEVER EVER coming back!!!

This hidden gem in one of Irvine's strip malls has become a regular spot for my husband, mom, little pup, and me!The food is fantastic, the service is always friendly, and the fact that it's dog-friendly is a huge plus.My absolute favorite is the Hakata Tonkotsu. The broth is so rich and flavorful – I like to add a bit of spice with the mild to medium option. They're very generous with the noodles, so I rarely finish it all, but it's incredibly delicious. I always leave feeling satisfied and happy.I also love the Mentaiko Bowl with its spicy seasoned cod roe, rice, and all those fresh toppings. My only tiny suggestion would be to add more cod roe to perfectly balance the dish.If you're looking for some amazing Ramen and more in Irvine, check this place out! You won't be disappointed.P.S. I've decided that I will only rate restaurants up to a maximum of 4 stars in my reviews because consistency can vary depending on the day. I will always mention the actual rating for the specific visit in the body of my review. Thus far, this place has consistently deserved a 5-star rating!Vegetarian options: I am sure they can accommodate upon request.

One of the managers here was rude to the guests, helped me order the wrong food and missed it, and then I asked him why he speak Spanish to me

Marufuku RamenWalking north from Laguna via Aliso Viejo, I wanted to stop for a meal at Spectrum, but I thought the parking lot there was a long way from the restaurant. I saw Marufuku on Google Maps and it has a great reputation, so I went there to check it out. In the afternoon, there were a few customers dining in the store. I ordered Hakata tonkotsu ramen and dumplings and waited for them to be served. The interior decoration is very trendy and comfortable. There is a row of sake in front of the open kitchen, which is cozy. Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen is a traditional Kyushu thick white soup, half-boiled egg + 2 small slices of barbecued pork. The noodles are cooked softer than those in Japan. It should cater to American tastes. The soup is rich and delicious, and it is as salty as Japan. It is of a high standard. The dumpling skin is crispy and the filling is soft, and the yuzu vinegar is very good. Overall, it is very Japanese. It seems that Marufuku is also a famous store in Fukuoka. Mega cities like Los Angeles attract resources from all over the world. You can find everything. As long as it is authentic, you will not have to worry about lack of customers. Marufuku is also crowded during meal times. Fortunately, there is no need to wait if you come at 3pm. I saw the customer at the next table having a bowl of ramen and a cup of Dassai, which was really enjoyable.I remember that when I was in school, the price of ramen noodles in Japan was twice that of the United States, but now the price in the United States is twice that of Japan. The difference is huge.

Hangry Trails

Creamy rich broth, thick chashu pork, and thin firm noodles!! Just the perfect combination on a rainy day. There’re plenty of parking as well in the shopping area.

If I could give zero star, i would. In general, ramen is salty but theirs is extremely salty. The service throughout the meal was nothing special. We just finished eating and chatting with friends. We paid as soon as the check came. But the manager asked us to leave right away as soon as we paid!!!!! It has never happened to me before!!! I’m extremely disappointed when a manager would rush us and asked us to leave right after we finished eating!

Very tasty ramen. The broth is not overwhelming for both the pork and the chicken versions. I was not a fan of the pork meat, but the broth was good. The noodles are thinner than other ramen places. The hot sake is good and relatively inexpensive and the service was great. The takoyaki was also good.

The food was okay, but what truly stood out and prompted me to give a 5-star rating was the exceptional service from the manager, Rene, and another gentleman named Robert. They were both incredibly friendly, patient, and efficient. Great job to them for their outstanding service!
