I visited this restaurant again today, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience that made me feel like I probably won’t return in the future.
We ordered the Lao Gan Ma chicken fried noodles. The chicken tasted very off — not fresh at all and had a very strong unpleasant smell. When we brought it up, the staff explained it was because the chicken had just been defrosted, which was not a great excuse. We ended up asking them to just give us a veggie version instead.
We also ordered the Beef Hot Pot #1, but the beef tasted exactly like lamb. I even asked if they gave us the wrong meat. The server tried it, then went to check with the kitchen. They confirmed it was beef, and told us that if we wanted the fatty sliced beef, we should’ve ordered a different item.
Overall, the food quality and service were not up to standard this time. It’s a shame because I had a decent impression before, but this visit really changed my mind.

Happy to hear they have a Northern Cafe here now! I remember when this place used to be a ramen shop lol. BUt I also remember it being more expensive that I could afford as a college student. But I'm happy to hear NC is here instead! I recommend trying their spicy beef hot pot if you can handle and like spicy food. It's very flavorful and it kicks you in the mouth a bit, but not so much that you're downing cups and cups of water. Will be coming back!

We ordered a lot and everything came fairly quickly. Lau Gan MA noodles were OK. The beef roll, and the cold appetizers (cucumber and mushrooms) were my favorite. The scallion beef was good as was the fried dumplings but the xlb was just OK.

They put lettuce in their Shrimp Wanton. Let me repeat, LETTUCE in SHRIMP WANTON. WHYYYYYY?

Had a Christmas night dinner here and the place got extremely busy, but the staff was able to manage everything on point!! The food is absolutely fantastic, love it and highly recommending this restaurant! Beef roll and cucumber salad with chilly sauce definitely hit the spot! Mala premium beef soup must try!

This place was awesome! We ordered takeout food on Christmas Day. This was our first time ordering here and will absolutely be back. All of the food was top notch. It was very clean and the team was very efficient.
They have a bad attitude and they put very little broth, as if I asked for it for free. I didn't like the service.

If you like dinning outdoors, their large outdoor dinning are is the only good thing here. Food is mediocre and overpriced. Son ordered a $25 hamburger and patty was no bigger than a McDonald's burger patty. Other plates were just ok. Nothing I would care to come back for.
