I recently visited Pandor Cafe in Jamboree at the Marketplace, and overall, I’d give it around a 3.5 to 4 stars. It’s a cute, casual spot that works well for a quick coffee, a little study time, or a friendly chat with someone.

On the positive side, the customer service was really good. The servers were polite and welcoming. They offer a nice range of savory items, café drinks, teas, and even some ice cream. It’s definitely a good place for a casual catch-up or just relaxing with a book.

Now, in terms of what could be improved: the Caesar salad I tried was pretty average. The grilled chicken on it was a bit tough, and the salad itself didn’t stand out. It’s not the best salad I’ve had, so there’s room for a little quality boost there.

Also, a couple of small notes on the facilities: the restroom could be a bit cleaner, and it would be nice if they added a hanger or hook for purses or jackets. Those little touches would definitely add to the comfort.

In general, the management seems attentive, and it’s a nice enough spot for a casual visit. If you’re looking for a laid-back coffee shop vibe where you can chat or get a little work done, Pandora Cafe is a decent choice.

Found hair in my food — very disappointing experience

I had a very unpleasant experience at Pandora Restaurant. I ordered an Almond Croissant and found a hair baked inside it. When I informed the manager, instead of apologizing or showing concern, he said, “It happens, it’s an accident.”

This response was very unprofessional and made me feel that hygiene isn’t taken seriously here. Later, the manager even told me to go get a refund because they needed the table — which felt very disrespectful.

I also spoke to the owner, but unfortunately, he reacted the same way — as if finding hair in food was a normal thing. I was left with the impression that they don’t follow proper food safety or cleanliness standards.

I hope they take this matter seriously and improve their hygiene and customer service, because no customer should experience this.

I usually just come here for coffee and a pastry, and everything I have tried so far is delicious!

I don’t know how to leave feedback, but the new Dubai chocolate dessert is AMAZING, however, I noticed that the price for it went up significantly. My suggestion is to reduce the size and the price of the dessert. It’s quite big and hard to finish in one sitting anyway.

The new marzipan cake with peach marshmallow frosting is great too!!! Similar feedback - it’s quite big, and I would be perfectly happy with a slice half the size.

Perfect place to go for having a wonderful coffee and pastry. The manager whose name is Sabine is phenomenal and she literally knows how to take care of the customers.

I came with 2 kids and ordered 2 crepes( Ham, cheese and egg). I asked if the egg will be well done and was assured it’s fried. Okay. 20 mins passed and I didn’t see anyone making crepes , I went to the register and asked how long to wait ? They saw my receipt and the time I payed (25 mins before) and told me it would be ready immediately… well, after 10 mins they finally brought the crepes (they were not even hot, not sure how ?) and I saw the egg now was missing !! I asked for eggs and they brought it in 5 mins and I saw they were not well done , I told the server I need well done , he came back in another 5 mins and left the eggs. Once I poke the egg, yellow liquid was coming out … didn’t want to ask them anything anymore … end up eating eggs myself ( didn’t want to give kids undercooked eggs). Just horrible . I guess no server , no cook knows what’s well done eggs ….and it took them 40 mins to bring wrong crepes order to the table ! And to mention their desserts are never really good , just okay taste and quality. Didn’t try any special pastry or dessert there( been there multiple times before ) and coffee is not brought to the table , you have to figure out that you have to pick it up by yourself , I kind of know it by now, but would have been helpful if cashier tell customers that !!!

I’ve been coming to this location for for French pastries for years and I have been coming daily the last few months, the taste is authentic and the price is fair for the setting and location.

I have always received exceptionally great service from the young people that work weekdays, the young man with the baseball hat, the tall blond and the French looking petite, on weekends, this place is busy and understandably service is faster and little more laxed, nevertheless, the service was good.

Today however, my order was taken by a person whom appeared to be possibly the daughter of the owner / manager, for the life of me, I could not get her to take a simple order properly, simply because she was not listening and paid attention to everything in her sphere except the person standing at her register.

It took her four prolonged tries to take an order of 1 crêpe cristo, no almonds and no Nutella drizzle on top, and guess what I received? A dry crêpe with NOTHING, no Nutella inside, not on top, not anywhere on the crêpe, just a tiny ketchup-like tub of Nutella on the side of the plate, aaagh

I pointed that out to the gentleman that brought it (and I’m sorry he was caught in the middle of my frustration) he takes it in and in a few minutes someone else comes out with a crêpe doused-stupid with Nutella inside and out, it almost looked like someone dropped a dukie on a plate.

At this point I went in and they finally got it right, by then the people with me had already finished their breakfast and were ready to leave.

Moral of the story is, from one business owner to another, if you can’t pay attention, don’t go to work that day, you harm the business more than you contribute even if it is your own, and you’ll eventually learn that the hard way.

I can take a screwed up order any day of the week and without leaving any reviews as business service is not perfectly linear, however, I can never accept being disrespected by not paying attention and repeatedly I might add, and the not following through with a proper resolution, an acknowledgment, perhaps an apology is a serious problem, but most definitely the lack of an immediate correction of the issue can be fatal to a business.

If you can’t serve a patron, hit the kitchen sink gal, washing breakables will get your attention, or better yet, stay home and watch Les Misérables, just return when you’re fit to serve.

Au revoir

Came here Wednesday morning at 8:30 am with only a few other customers. They completely forgot our order, started serving people who came in after us, and lied when we asked about it — telling us “it’s coming out” when it clearly wasn’t. We ended up waiting a full hour for a single crepe, and when it finally arrived, the chicken inside was cold from being rushed. Unacceptable service, dishonest communication, and poor food quality all in one visit.
