my only complaint about this joint is it plays music like night club with 3rd grade stereo. Not classy.

After years of buying Peets since their old Vine Street, Berkeley shop, I quit! Major Dickenson's was my favorite many years ago, but a couple of years ago, I was out of coffee so I bought the 2 pound bag at Costco. I think I dumped a bunch of the beans! Their coffee started tasting bitter to me, and it was not my grinder that I cleaned and confirmed with other brands. They also screwed me on delivery of beans that never arrived even though they charged my card. Their Customer Support is now in India, which made matters worse. Their shops are trashy now; their employees are either inept, inattentive, rude, complascent, or all of the above! Bye, Bye Peets! There are much better local brewers in the Bay Area. I think that a German investment company acquiring Peets aroung 2012--killed them. It's still better than Starbucks that tastes burnt, but not much better.

Always great coffee, great food and great service with a smile. Just tried their new chicken waffle sandwich and will definitely be back for that!

Pretty much the worst coffee joint. Pictures are all lies. What COVID precaution? I don’t see any. No social here for sure. Don’t know if that’s good or bad. People are all confined in mental prison here. No latte art.

This is normally a great store or so I thought. I normally order on the app and then pick it up in the store. Today I decided to go into the store to order. They couldn't take orders or deliver orders to customers. There was a long line for no reason and it took about ten minutes for me to actually order a simple coffee with only three other people in front of me. They gave my coffee to another customer who returned it five minutes later. The workers then tried to give it to me. I asked for a new one and they reluctantly agreed. Another ten minutes had gone by. Luckily I was paying attention and not on my phone or I would have had a coffee someone else drank from. Today was a horrible experience. Do they not provide basic training on how to be a cashier, make orders, and food safety? Nothing but an acknowledgement from their customer service team after I submitted my concerns on their app. They've lost a customer. This is just gross.

Really enjoyed my little afternoon treat at Peet's today! The iced latte was delicious, and the barista-in-training did a really great job and making that customer connection. A lot quieter and calmer than my experience at other coffee chains. Ample seating and charging, and I was able to move the shades when it got a little bright inside with no issue. One reservation about making this my regular spot though is the UTC parking gestapo. If I'm a paying customer and not a student simply parking and walking across the bridge, I shouldn't feel stressed and rushed to leave before I get towed. UTC was my hangout spot growing up, and it's a shame to see how neurotic and unpleasant simply existing as a community member has become. We used to come here after school dances and hang out at Yogurtland, or go on mother-daughter dates to this same Peet's to chat for a few hours. Don't love feeling rushed...there's got to be a better way of policing parking issues than creating a hostile environment. Of course, Peet's itself is no issue. I love this particular location and its original shop in Berkeley was one of my go-to study spots. Just a general trend I've noticed :(

I came today at 5:26, and I wanted hot latte and croissant! The server said, they can't warm up my croissant, and can't do hot coffee! They shut down everything before closing, even they close at 6 pm! If you close then close the door! Poor service!

Came to peet's as first timers with my husband and we were greeted by grumpy Josh.. he looked like he was sooo over working early on a weekend with that attitude. I'm sorry but it isn't the customer's fault that you're working so early at a busy coffee spot. Anyway, i ordered the pumpkin latte with almond milk and my husband got the iced white mocha and both were soooo good! I hope next time we don't get Josh.

Peet's is always great, the vibes are right, the coffee is amazing, their matcha is amazing, their food is never a miss, and service has always been great. I love how efficient they are and I love their coffee with all my heart. Starbucks ain't got shit on Peet's. Take Peet's any day!

The service is good.I was bothered by a weird guy in the store today, though I wasn't really affected but the leader of the shift come to ask my feelings and listen to my experience, which really helps me and makes me feel better.Thank you so much.

So good.

The employees here were very personable and the atmosphere was perfect for reading, enjoying a coffee, and having a conversation due to the lower density of tables.
