I really wanted to like this place more. They try to be truly Italian with imported meats and tuna, and an Italian bread pressing machine. Unfortunately my New York piadina had bread which was uncooked (translucent dough). Literally raw dough. Not cool. The other sandwich ingredients were ok but the meat was very fatty (which is typical for these deli style cuts, but something to be aware of). The tuna salad was HUGE but had almost no tuna or salad dressing. Overall the food was very unsatisfying and half the sandwich went into the garbage due to the uncooked bread. Will not be coming back.

Piadina is a fresh, tasty Italian flatbread sandwich shop in the Crossroads Irvine shopping center just off of Barranca. They have a menu of over a dozen craft sandwiches that a perfect "just right" size for lunch. On my visit, I tried the Alpi, with hearty smoked prosciutto, mozzarella, fresh arugula, and tomato. They compliment perfectly with the Batch all-sugar soda too. Salads or flatbread pizza options available. Vegetarian options are also available. Friendly staff and made to order this is a perfect place for lunch during your work week, or makes a great place to take a break if you are riding along the San Diego Creek Trail. Catering and online orders are also available.Vegetarian options: They feature two flatbread sandwiches, three pizzas, and a Mediterranean salad for all vegetation options. (No items are listed as truly vegan.)Parking: Standard shopping center parking. Can be relatively busy, but parking should be freely available.Wheelchair accessibility: Storefront handicap parking available. Indoor and outdoor free chair seating. Single manual door. Wheelchair accessible order and pickup counters.

Food is really good... loved their pizza and vegetarian sandwich. The veggies are really fresh and love their bread and cheese....

The Reggio is definitely a must try! It's one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture. The spicy sauce it had really makes it amazing. The calabria and california sandwiches were great choices as well but reggio is just in a class of its own. All the sandwiches were perfectly cooked and had the perfect ratio of ingredients and toppings which none of the ingredients overpowered the other and worked together nicely. Definitely a good amount of food for the price. Service is quick and nice. You can either eat inside or outside but the outside seating is nice due to the fountain near the front. There are also heat lamps outside so it doesn't get too chilly.

Probably the best shop in the entire center. You can get exceptionally delicious sandwiches and piadizzas here. There are also many different types. So there is actually something for every taste. I have eaten many different sandwiches and they have all been delicious. The products also taste really fresh. The store itself is okay. The staff is always very friendly.

I've been coming here for 5 years and it's my favorite sandwich. I will agree with the other reviews the team members sometimes seem like they'd rather be elsewhere. The Tustin market place location always has great workers! Regardless it doesn't steer me away from the delicious food. I always get the Californian and substitute the tomatoes with sun dried tomatoes. It's a must! The Cesar salad used to be my favorite of all time until they started changing the ingredients including the dressing, it was to die for. Still come to regardless.

Meh. Could have been better. The bread was too heavy and too thick. I asked for no mushrooms but got them anyway. I do not think I will come even close to heading back there. I think it is a great place for those who love mushrooms and truffle sauce. Neither of which I can tolerate. I sure wish there would have been another option for me on their menu but it was a challenge.

I love the sandwiches, but I just watched the woman who is making sandwiches pull her phone out of her pocket, with her gloves on, use it, then put it back in her pocket, and start making the food. No glove change, not even an attempt to sanitize the gloves. I'm a little grossed out. Your cell phone is the dirtiest thing you own. If you need to use it, wash your hands and/or put on new gloves afterward.

*Sad sandwich alert* - when you walk in you'll notice signs for $0.75 sauce everywhere, mayo $0.75, hot sauce $0.75, etc. As a first-timer I figured they wouldn't be evil enough to sell an incomplete sandwich that purposefully tastes bad without the sauce surcharge, but I was wrong. We ordered to go, so I had no way of even forking over the additional funds to complete my sandwich... I don't think anyone makes a dry sandwich with meat, arugula, tomatoes, and nothing, and I'm sure once you figure out the sauce scam you'll throw a couple on for an extra $1.50, but don't order to go on your first time or you'll be left with.... this.

I can't believe it took me so long to try this place. Initially, I noticed these gorgeous women exiting with these flatboxes in hand. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but the staff reassured first-timers buy pointing out popular items (highlighted in yellow on the menu). I went with the California as my initiation and it was a safe choice: Roasted Chicken, mozzarella, arugula, tomato, and basil pesto wrapped in a warm flat bread. Quality ingredients, simple yet tasty, and executed quickly. The interior is cool and quaint with about 4-5 tables of 4. Will be back to try their Italian Classics.
