The girl didn't put enough matcha in my strawberry matcha milk drink so it just tasted like strawberry milk š Like seriously I watched her fill up my cup almost all the way with milk and she put this much matcha in it š. It looked nothing like the pictures of the drink, which have a decent amount of matcha. It may seem petty to give 2 stars, but I paid $8 for this drink.

I've been looking around for a good milk tea place for a while and came across redstraw as a recommendation from a friend. This place has quite an extensive list of options! I decided to try the redstraw milk tea since it should be their specialty right? I got it in half sugar with boba and light ice. Unfortunately the drink really missed its mark. The tea flavor wasn't as strong as I had hoped and the boba was hand firm and half soft leading to an inconsistent chew. My wife got the peach bellini at regular sugar and it is way too sweet in my opinion. I think I would go back to try the fruit tea but definitely not a fan of the milk tea.

Red straw is actually great. High quality ingredients and most importantly, MANY decaf options, which is what I am always looking for. Not just for myself, but my young son as well who will not be getting a caffeinated drink. The only thing I really wish most tea places had were kids sizes! Instead my son and I have to share a drink because I am not buying a 4 year old his own full size boba drink. So technically I would spend more money there if I could buy myself a full size and him a kids size. Oh well, hope to see more kids sizes in the future. Otherwise the drinks are delicious

After face painting for over 2 hours in the sun, I needed something refreshing! I chose this Boba tea house based on yelp and the reviews were spot on. The first drink on the menu was exactly what I needed! I added lychee jelly instead o boba and itās absolutely delicious. ?

I didnāt realize until just recently that Irvine has a Redstraw, and as Iād only tried the LA location once a couple years ago and couldnāt remember if I liked it, I was eager to try the Irvine location. There is a great variety of drinks on the menu, so thereās sure to be something for everyone. I ordered the mango mojito with boba, and it hit the spot. I ordered it less sweet, and it came out just right. One thing I was pleasantly surprised about was the prices here are pretty low compared to other places in Irvine and LA. I only paid $5.75 for my drink, which is way less than the average $7-8 Iāve paid elsewhere. Definitely will be back to try more drinks.
