Seriously one of my favorite desserts ever. Such a great combination of warm, crispy Japanese taiyaki with smooth and gently sweet Korean soft serve! I always get the matcha soft serve with matcha powder and a Nutella filled taiyaki.

This SomiSomi is located in the Irvine Spectrum. It was a bit difficult to find at night since it's a bit out of the way; however, it was definitely worth it. I visited on a Saturday night so it was very busy inside. Despite the long line, the service was very quick. I ordered inside the store through a kiosk, and waited for my order outside since I didn't get any ice cream. The store itself is a bit small, so they try to get non-ice cream orders to wait elsewhere to save space. I ordered five taiyaki in total: one with Nutella, one with taro, one with Oreo, and two with custard. The Nutella one was very sweet, but everything else was just right. Sometimes the taiyaki can get a little burnt on the edges, but it was cooked perfectly this time. The mochi dough was chewy and complemented the filling extremely nicely. Overall, this SomiSomi location is much better than others I've been to. They have a lot of workers so the wait is never longer than a few minutes, regardless of how busy it is. Plus, the taiyaki here is amazing and I would definitely recommend it!

Thus is a great place when you're looking for a sweet treat that isn't too filling. The flavor options change regularly - so there's always something new to discover. They don't offer sample tastes, but the friendly staff can talk you through the options. There's limited searung inside. It's fun to bring your treat outside to enjoy.

This place is always a hit with their product. I love how efficiently they've upgraded to self-checkout kiosks to allow the entire process to move quickly and make it comfortable for anybody to order. They are also really organized in managing crowds within the store, while making sure to also honor the fact that ice cream melts quickly and sorting customers according to what they ordered. I have brought so many tourists here and they are consistently enchanted by the darling presentation. The fish is so cute and the soft serve is such a beautifully ideal texture and consistency. Their taiyaki is always a main attraction and is served so perfectly warm and fresh - a crisp waffle on the outside with an ooey gooey melty goodness on the inside. Really great product, service, branding, and overall experience - you always know exactly what to expect and can trust that you will receive those expectations consistently.

Loved the atmosphere loved the fact you remade my previous raw pastry but even the second time my pastry was raw I order a pastry with a ice cream first time and it was fantastic but when I finished my pastry and wanted another or two to finish my ice cream unfortunately it had melted by the time I received my uncooked pastry for the second time thanks though
