I been here several times and workers here were friendly and sweet.However, things getting worse and worse for whatever reasons after thanksgiving break. All workers looks very indifferent and rude, and the quality of drinks suck too. Oh yeah they have a sign saying that they do not honor the Starbucks' Thursday 50% off promotion due to an refrigeration issues, not sure what it has anything to do with that. Will not be back in the future.

For some reason every time I want to get shots of espresso over ice in a venti, just at this specific starbucks in target the Manager Maria tells me “no” and then I see my coworkers with venti cups and shots of espresso. And I ask where they went and it’s HERE: so I asked today can I pay for the cup because this is getting out of hand. After debating for 5 mins. She gave me the cup… but then proceeded to make my drink wrong. Anyway, horrible customer service makes both Target and Starbucks look very bad. Will be tossing my drink now.

tl;dr Terrible service. Felt discriminated. Didn't give customers enough information. Didn't reverse my transaction.Usually when I go to this Starbucks, they always (across my multiple visits throughout the past year) ran out of some crucial ingredients, but the service was still good. (There was usually one barista operating the store since I went during the night or during the weekend.)However, the experience was terrible this time. It was Tuesday May 7, 2019 around 2.30pm. There were two baristas working and one lady WITHOUT A NAMETAG wearing a black polo shirt with Starbucks logo who took my order. It is obvious to be that she spoke to me with a completely different tone and manner compared to both the customer before and after me maybe because of me being a UCI student or because of my race is different from hers. At first, I didn't mind at all as long as I get what I want.I paid for my drink using the Starbucks app on my iPhone, but there wasn't enough balance on it, so I tried using my Target REDCard to pay for the rest of the balance. She said she can't split the transaction at all even I still had balance left in my Starbucks app, so I paid the entire amount using my REDCard. Shortly after that, I ask if I would still get the star rewards since she already scanned the barcode from my iPhone. She told me I won't since I didn't pay the whole amount using the app and that even with partial transaction using the apps wouldn't give me any stars as well. I politely ask her to reverse the transaction, but she refused. While the transaction is being processed, "I can't do that, " she said, "Oops, it went through." There wasn't any single "sorry" or other kinds of compensation.I didn't mind not getting the star rewards as long as I was the one who made that choice, but in this case, I wasn't informed enough.I usually have good experience with Starbucks, but after this incident I question how they train their staff to become this unprofessional considering that this lady's uniform look more like an experienced manager of the branch.I normally haven't had to write negative reviews, but I'm so fed up this time. I don't know how much impact my small voice can make, but at least I think I did my part here writing a review. My recommendation is to avoid this Starbucks store at all cost. It will waste your time arguing with the clerk, waste your time writing complaints (yes, I have already filed a complaint to Starbucks regarding this discriminated and rude service), and ruin the rest of your day.
